In today’s world the act of medical testing on animals has become very

common / has increased in the last decades/

/In recent years there has been an increasing focus on problems of using
animals in medical research/
+/Animal experimentation has played a dominant role in leading with new
findings and human advantages/
+/ Animal research has had a vital role in many scientific and medical advances
of the past century/
/Nowadays companies around the world use animals to test the safety of
cosmetics, medicines and household products to avoid any potential risks for
humans/.
/It is true that medicines and other products are routinely tested on animals
before they are offered for human use/.

However, many people may not realize that the majority of products in their
own home have been tested on animals. Have you ever wondered what
happens before we get cosmetics, medicine, and other products on the store
shelves? Thousands of animals lose their lives for no reason while subject to
tests in laboratories that give us these products and something should be done

Suffer:
It is cruel and inhumane to put animals through so much unnecessary agony, they can feel
pain and suffering too, just like humans.

Animals live and have emotions just as human - they feel love, fear, and pain and deserve
the right to have a happy life.

Animals have rights but they just cannot speak to stand up for themselves/defend
themselves.

Other ways of dealing with the problem (it is an outdated form of research):
To help minimise the harm animals may experience while being studied in the laboratory,

- should be banned or regulated; experiments should not be conducted in the manner

that causes a lot of harm and suffering to animals.
- find alternative ways/methods of testing or develop a new kind of research
tools/technologies / more funding should be put into developing alternatives to
experiments using animals.

To sum up, it is alarming and even disturbing to experiment with animals and cause them
pain and suffering.

Thankfully, alternatives are emerging that could be as good — or even better — than animal
models.
/Recent technological advances are presenting us with alternatives that might at least
reduce the number of animals used in medical research/
/………………..could be some of the keys to solving this situation and ensure the risk for
animals are minimised.

The sooner we get away from animals, the better for scientific progress as well as the ethical
benefits.
