Given the activity above, answer the following questions:

1. How do their lives differ?

Heart Evangelista and Lloyd Cadena differed in so many ways and aspects. I categorized a
few and prominent of their differences into the following:
First, Character and Personality. Having been known and famous in their own platform,
definitely these two are distinct from one another. Heart being classy and sophisticated but
down-to-earth while Lloyd exudes entertaining and silly persona.
Second, Genre. When I looked into their contents in YouTube, just by reading the titles I can
immediately infer what their content is all about and what vibe it can give to the viewers. Heart
focuses on fashion and lifestyle while Lloyd focuses on entertainment such as prank videos and
games.
Third, Starting Point. As we all know, Heart started her career as a model and actress while
Lloyd Cadena rose to popularity solely from his YouTube platform.

2. What do you think are the factors that influence their lifestyle or way of life?

It goes without saying that wherever and whoever they are now is the result of two factors:
First, Social Class and Family background. Heart Evangelista grew up from a Chinese-Filipino
restaurateurs. She moved to US but then after returned here in the Philippines during her teen
age years where she was scouted by an agent to be an actress and a model. On the other hand,
Lloyd Cadena’s parents were Filipino migrant workers in the United Arab Emirates.
Second, Network of Connections. Having been an actress and a model, Heart has created
not just local but international connections which then led her to where she is now. Meanwhile,
Lloyd Cadena most probably built his connections from his university life up until his fulltime job
as a vlogger and content creator.
