 ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

PURPOSE

The purpose of this assignment is to help learners to understand an overview of the

aging process from a psychological perspective.

PART I

QUESTION 1: INTERVIEW (50%)

As people grow older, their bodies and minds go through a series of dynamic changes that
have an impact on their physical, mental, emotional, and health. Greying hair, a decrease in
functioning, a decrease in daily activities, as well as an increased risk of disease, are all
associated with growing older.

For this assignment, you are required to talk directly to an older friend or relative at least 60
years of age or older, either in person, via telephone, or video conferencing. The following
questions should be asked and reported in the assignment:

1. Introduction and background information of the interviewee.

2. What are the health and non-health challenges that the elderly encounter as he/she
ages?
3. What is the most important historical event or period of time that that the elderly
has lived through?
4. What advice would the elderly give to young people to help them prepare for their
old age?
5. Conclusion.

All explanations must be supported with examples and literature review from reputable
sources.

TUJUAN

Tujuan tugasan ini adalah untuk membantu pelajar memahami gambaran keseluruhan
proses penuaan dari perspektif psikologi.

BAHAGIAN I

Apabila orang semakin tua, badan dan minda mereka melalui satu siri perubahan dinamik
yang memberi kesan kepada fizikal, mental, emosi dan kesihatan mereka. Rambut beruban,
