List at least five Filipino Cultures and discuss the different strength and weakness.

1. Bayanihan - is a term used in Filipino culture to describe the act of neighbors

aiding neighbors. Building solid ties and encouraging a feeling of communal
cohesion and collaboration are among this culture's positive traits. Yet, a
drawback would be that it might cause people to become overly reliant on one
another rather than take ownership of their own lives.
2. Pagmamano - involves taking an elder's hand and placing it on one's forehead as
a sign of respect. This culture's benefits include fostering elder respect and
upholding traditional Filipino values. Yet, a drawback would be that it might
support age-based hierarchies that might result in prejudice towards younger
people.
3. Balikbayan Boxes - sending gift-filled boxes to relatives and friends in the
Philippines is a traditional Filipino practice. Family relationships are emphasized
in this society, and kindness and thoughtfulness are encouraged. Its potential
drawback is that it can promote a culture of materialism and consumerism.
4. Pagsamba - is a phrase used to describe religious rituals and acts of worship in
the Philippines. This culture excels in fostering a strong sense of community and
faith while also giving people a sense of spiritual connection and guidance. Yet,
one drawback would be that it might cause disputes and tensions between
various religious organizations and ideologies.
5. Bahala Na - The phrase "leave it to fate" or "whatever will be, will be" is used in
the Filipino language. This culture excels in encouraging serenity and
acceptance in the face of ambiguity and difficulty. Yet, a drawback would be that
it might encourage people to refrain from acting and making choices, which
would leave them without agency and responsibility.
