PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS REVIEW

This film narrates the story of Chris Gardener, a man who invested a lot of money in
bone density scanners. However, he is not able to sell them easily as they are “x-ray at
a much higher price”. Due to this his wife leaves him and he loses his apartment. He is
forced to live precariously with his son. At the same time, he is on an unpaid internship
as a stockbroker. After 6 months of training and very few chances to get that job he
ended up getting it, and all his economic problems are over.

The main point of the film is that if you are optimistic perseverant, hard-working and
kind you will achieve everything you purpose.

From my point of view, that is not true. There are situations of unfairness, usually
people who are born in rich families have much more opportunities. And there also is
the luck factor, what would have happened if someone had prepared better for the
exam than Chris?

Finally, I would say that it is an enjoyable and nice film. It has funny and sad scenes,
and I liked that contrast. I would recommend this film for people that need motivation,
or that are going through a difficult situation.
