LEARNING OUTLINES:

Set Induction:
Pre Lesson 1. Teacher shows the calendar.
2. Pupils recalls the ordinal numbers that they have learned in the previous
lesson by repeating after teacher.

Lesson
Development Activity 1:
1. Teacher distributes ordinal number cards to the pupils.
2. Next, pupils must write the name of the ordinal numbers in the space
provided on the cards correctly using ordinal numbers. For example, 20th
as twentieth.
3. Then, 5 pupils (who are holding first until fifth cards) come in front.
Other pupils must help them to line up according to the correct sequence
by following the ordinal number cards that they are holding. Then, all pupils
read aloud the numbers.
4. Step 3 is repeated until all pupils are finished.

Activity 2:
1. Pupils read the Special Day song in Student’s Book page 37.
2. Then, teacher asks them to find the pupils who are holding the cards that
have the dates for the celebrations that are mentioned in the song. For
example, Irfa is holding the date for Mother’s Day in the US.

Closure
Post Lesson 1. Pupils open Student’s Workbook page 30 and answer question 1 and 2.
