Goals
• On 80% of occasions, Amino will be able to recognise and say 90% of GPC from Phase 3 Letters and
Sounds Phonics program.
Strategy
Attend intervention sessions with an EA 5 times a week, each session lasting 20 minutes to consolidate
learning of Phase 3 GPC. Intervention following the scope and sequence of Phase 3 L&S program.
Understand that a sound can be represented by various letter combinations
Goals
• On 80% of occasions, Amino will identify various letter combinations that represent a single sound, i.e. f,
ff, and ph for the /f/ sound.
Strategy
Use a grapheme display to identify corresponding Letters and Sounds Phase 3 phonemes.
Use most letter-sound matches including vowel digraphs, less common long vowel patterns, letter clusters
and silent letters when reading and writing words of one or more syllable
Goals
• On 80% of occasions, Amino will use her knowledge of single letters sounds, consonant digraphs and
vowel digraphs to sound out and write high frequency words and words with simple spelling patterns.
Strategy
Attend intervention sessions with an EA 4 times a week, each session lasting 30 minutes to consolidate
learning of Phase 3 GPC.
Intervention following the scope and sequence of Phase 3 L&S program.
Identify graphemes in a given word using sound buttons.
Use a grapheme display to identify corresponding Letters and Sounds Phase 3 phonemes.
Use Elkonin boxes (phoneme frame) to map individual graphemes in a given word.
Write short sentences and captions to apply knowledge of Phase 3 GPC.

• By end of Week 3, Term 2 Amino will place her letters on the lines with consistent sizing with 80%
accuracy.
