AIMS OF LESSON • Discussion based on the weather
• Identifies features of weather reports
• Extracting information from weather chart comparing weather in different places.
• Records new words and meanings in personal dictionary
INTRODUCTION • Previous lesson learners were introduced to weather chart and new vocabulary.
• Read a weather chart and a bar chart on rainfall
• For this lesson they will past, present and future tense
• Record new words in personal dictionary

o Identifies features of weather reports:

Imagine that you are going to read the weather forecast on TV using the map on pg. 70. Using cue cards/prompts, write
down what you will say for each province.

Reading
1. Make predictions about the text on pg. 78 in your DBE book by looking at the title and the pictures.
2. Skim for words about the text and underline them.
3. Scan for words that you don’t know and circle them.
4. Answer the questions on pg. 78 and 79.
