MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

This Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) is made and entered into by and between
San Jose High School, represented by its Principal, MRS. ROBELYN L. CAGUD,
hereinafter referred to as the SCHOOL, and the Barangay Council of San Jose,
represented by its Barangay Captain, HON. RAFAEL G. PANAGUITON JR.,
hereinafter referred to as the BARANGAY.

WHEREAS, the SCHOOL is committed to the effective implementation of solid waste


management in compliance with Republic Act No. 9003, otherwise known as the
"Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000";

WHEREAS, the BARANGAY recognizes the importance of proper solid waste


management and is committed to support the SCHOOL in its efforts to implement solid
waste management programs;

WHEREAS, the SCHOOL and the BARANGAY agree to collaborate and cooperate in
the implementation of solid waste management programs and activities in the
SCHOOL, in order to achieve a cleaner and healthier environment for the students,
teachers, and the community as a whole;

NOW, THEREFORE, the SCHOOL and the BARANGAY hereby agree as follows:

1. The BARANGAY shall provide assistance or volunteers to help in cleaning the


SCHOOL every month, specifically in the collection and disposal of solid waste.

2. The SCHOOL shall provide the necessary equipment, such as brooms,


dustpans, garbage bags, and other cleaning materials for the volunteers.

3. The BARANGAY shall ensure that its volunteers are properly briefed and
trained on proper waste segregation, handling, and disposal in compliance with
the provisions of RA 9003.

4. The SCHOOL and the BARANGAY shall coordinate and collaborate on the
conduct of information, education, and communication campaigns on solid
waste management, including but not limited to orientations, seminars, and
other activities aimed at raising awareness on proper waste management
practices.

5. The SCHOOL and the BARANGAY shall regularly meet to review the
implementation of this MOA and to discuss any issues or concerns that may
arise.

Either party may terminate this MOA upon written notice to the other party, provided
that such termination shall not affect any ongoing activities or projects that were
already agreed upon by both parties.
This MOA shall be effective as of August 24, 2022 and shall remain in force within the
School Year 2022-2023, and may be renewed or extended upon mutual agreement of
both parties.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the SCHOOL and the BARANGAY have caused this MOA
to be executed by their respective authorized representatives as of the date and year
first above written.
