Bibliography:
My name is Nida Ahsan. I have recently joined Roots future
world campus, I was previously working with Bayview High
School as a preschool teacher since past 6 years. I have done
diploma in Montessori education. I am a trained Montessori
directress. I have experience of teaching English to grade 4
and 5 as well as I truly believe being versatile is fundamental
for your progress and professional development thus I am
always up for new challenges and diversification.

Currently I am teaching Early years in Roots millennium and

working with age group of 6-8 years. My learners evolve
around Primary learning style of all early years. My learners
are mostly Visual,Auditory.Kinesthetic and tactile.They
evolve around all the learning styles.
Visual: they recognize numbers and letters better then peers.
Auditory:they shows interest in stories and reading.
Kinesthetic:they engage in physical activites
Tactile:sensory themes or topics becomes easy for them to
comprehend.

The lesson plan is a detailed outline plan for teaching a

specific topic or skill in relevant to early years curriculum.
My lesson plan is drafted in the topic of theme.
Topic is life cycle of different plants.learners will experience
germination through kinesthetic experience as they will
explore nature and plant a seed.

Lesson plan:
Attached in the email.
Rationale: The reason I chose the sorting activity of seeds is
so that learners can distinguish between different seeds, along
with a lot brainstorming. Learner will also do hands on
activity so that they can experience the stages of a plant
independently.
Brainstorming questions reflected the pre-acquired
knowledge of the learners and they were able to answer the
questions with their prior knowledge which was very
interesting when it was shared the class, and also encouraged
other learners to answer that is why brainstorming session
was and important part of the lesson.

Evaluation:
The lesson plan was conducted well, learners were very
anxious to know the stages as soon as they saw the seeds in
the plate.
They thoroughly enjoyed the process of germination and also
the pasting and cutting of the life cycle on the chart paper.
Learners were not interested in watching the video they were
curious and more excited to plant the seed and enjoy the
process of germination.

Way forward:
Next time when I will conduct my lesson I will start of with
the mystery box instead of video so that the curiosity of the
learners could have been made more exciting by asking them
open ended questions.
I will also look for some videos with songs so that learners
can sing and enjoy the learning of the relevant topic or can
also make the learners do a role play or small presentation on
the stages of a plant where each child can take a role and
become a seed, stem, flower and in the end of the presentation
they can all stand together to show how the plant a small seed
grows from a root to a flower.
