I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
 Use the past and past perfect tense correctly in sentences;
 Identify the forms of verb in past and past perfect tense; and
 Supply the correct verb form of the past and past perfect tenses..

A. ROUTINE ACTIVITIES:
 Prayer
 Greetings
 Checking of Attendance: English Rocks!!!
 Energizer (WIKARAMBULAN)

B. LESSON PROPER:

 ELICIT
 Fill in the correct form of the verb inside the parentheses. Choose the letter of the best
answer. (refer to What I Know of Module 4)

 ENGAGE
 Recall the lesson about voice of the verb
 Read and study the story then answer the given questions (refer to What’s New of
Module 4)

 ELABORATE
1. After the engagement, elaborate the simple past tense and past perfect tense.
2. Explain the difference past tense and past perfect tense.
3. Discuss that in past tense there are two kinds of verbs used.
4. Elaborate that it is important to know the past participle of the verb in order to create a
past perfect sentence.

 EXERCISE
 Let’s Practice: Supply the correct form of the past perfect or simple past as in the
examples (refer to What’s More of Module 4)

V. ASSIGNMENT
Analyze the given pictures. Write a sentence for each picture as in the examples on the left side. Use
Past Perfect tense in writing your sentence.
