Final writing activity in AH111

By: Gian Marion G. Mocali AB-POLSCI 1

Beginning this semester, I was extremely intimidated by college and worried that I would not be able to
perform as well as I did in high school. I expected the work to be much more difficult and the teachers to
be less involved than in high school, which was correct; however, after the first month or so, I began to
really apply myself to my classes, and now I feel like I have adjusted well to the college atmosphere.
Even though the "first semester" experience was not always pleasant or easy, I am very proud of myself
for completing it as well as I did, and I am determined to improve next semester. Along with studying, I
and my friends enjoyed a variety of other activities during our college years. I had new experiences and
learned a lot of new things. Our college's canteen was a memorable place in my college life because we
used to hang out there whenever we had free time.

My first day of college meant a lot to me. It was the beginning of my dream to attend college and further
my education. I was filled with emotions because it was my first time at this level and my first time
paying for my own education. Most importantly, I learned that you can never predict what life will
throw at you. I’ve learned that it’s not always fun. There will be days where you are studying in your
room at 2 am, stressed because you have three exams the next day, and there are times when you find
the value of being by yourself. My first semester of college has taught me that there are so many great
things about college, but if it doesn’t go exactly as you planned, that’s okay too. There are always new
people to meet, new experiences to have, and new memories to make when you least expect it.

College is one of the most remarkable and lovable times in a person's life. College Life, as opposed to
School Life, offers a unique experience that every person should have. College life introduces us to new
experiences that we have always wanted to have after finishing high school. Many people do not have
the opportunity to enjoy their college years because of their circumstances or financial difficulties.
College Life means something different to everyone. While some people spend their college years
partying with their friends, others become more serious about their careers and work hard in the
classroom.
