I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of key concepts of axiomatic structure
of geometry and triangle congruence.
B. Performance Standards The learner is able to:
1. Formulate an organized plan to handle a real-life situation.
Communicate mathematical thinking with coherence and clarity in formulating,
investigating, analyzing, and solving real-life problems involving congruent
triangles using appropriate and accurate representations.
C. Learning Competencies Proves two triangles are congruent. (M8GE-IIIg-1)
D. Objectives At the end of the lesson the learners are expected to:
a. Recall the conditions to show congruence of triangles.
b. Use the conditions of triangle congruence in an isosceles triangle
c. Show active participation in class discussion.
II. CONTENT
Content Using the conditions of triangle congruence in an isosceles triangle
E. Developing Mastery Board work: Using the conditions of triangle congruence of an isosceles
triangle, find x using the given figure below.
4x+5 5x-10
Angle A = Angle C
5x – 10 = 4x + 5
5x – 4x = 5 + 10
x = 15
F. Finding Practical Applications How will you use the conditions of triangle congruence in an isosceles triangle
of Concept and Skills in Daily in your real life?
Living
G. Making Generalizations a. What have you learned from the topic that has been discussed?
about the Lesson b. Can you use the conditions of triangle congruence in an isosceles
triangle?
Answer:
x = 9, y = 88

require remediation
E. Which of my teaching strategies
worked well? Why did these work?
F. What difficulties did I encounter
which my principal or supervisor
can help me solve?
G. What innovation or localized
materials did I used/ discover
which I wish to share with other
teachers?
