As a music teacher, I am constantly spending time reviewing what happened in my classroom in

regard to teaching, classroom management, content covered, etc. Every time I am up in front of
kids teaching, I am recording myself so that I can watch my videos back to reflect on what went
well and how kids perceived my instruction and body language. After reviewing this, I make
note of how to move forward for the next time I am teaching these students.

Along with my own personal reflection, I also speak with my cooperating teachers about things
they noticed in my teaching. They provide feedback in a way that is both thought provoking as
well as inviting to a conversation that allows me to reflect my thoughts and rationalize my
decisions. I take their feedback with me as I meet with the students for the next time.
