Reflective writing Nn

In Lubna Bint Hubab, I have taught grade one.. I teach the students about
sorting during, Morning "message time" and song was place from 8 am to
8:40 during the lecture. I began my lesson with the morning message by
asking them about the day, date, and month and then connecting their
existing knowledge to what they had studied the day befor The students
were engaged and love the idea of having me teach them. I like the way
how students are getting interact with me.I feel that the lesson was a
review for the students so when I ask them about the letter they answer me
directly, , I start show them some picture about letter O and they have to
tell me what is this. After that, I let them to do some exercise before they go
to centers , in the centers students was enjoy and start working together
but I need to do for them exit tickets because I feel that they can
understand more I can see if the students understood the lesson or not. As
a formative assessment, I use check list, I wake around to see the students
work and ask them some questions about the lesson , Then ask the
students thumbs up if you understood the lesson and thumbs down if you
are not but for the next time, I will let the students to be on the centers
more than being on the carpet because at the end of the lesson I lost
control because they get bored. I did very well in my teaching. Especially
when I checked with them in the formative assessment, I knew that the
students are understanding the lesson and they did very well. While I am
observing the students, I make sure to give them oral feedback and I was
taking notes about students who finished the activity faster than others.
Observing students while they are working will develop their learning in a
positive way. In other words, while students are working, they really need to
be observed especially as a teacher you will get to know your students
more while you observe them.
