The researchers’ intention is to
explore the experiences of IP
parents in providing educational
support to their children therefore the
use of purposive sampling is the
most suitable for the study. This
sampling method requires
researchers to have prior knowledge
about the purpose of their studies to
properly choose and approach
eligible participants that will fit a
particular profile (Alchemer, 2018).
For this study, thirteen (13) parents
of IP students from the Senior High
School Department will be pre-
determined and will be used as
subjects for the study, regardless of
their gender, tribe, and location.
