PRACTICUM PORTFOLIO

in LDM 2

MA. MELANIE S.
CAPAWING
Teacher I
It’s more than a year now since the Covid-19 pandemic has
affected much to our lives.

In connection with this, an E-portfolio for this new

normal type of education was created to assess the
Learnings of the children, and the learning modality that
we used here at Espiritu ES is the Modular Distance
Learning which is the only learning modality applied to all
pupils and students here in our area. Printed modules were
provided to our students for their self-learning, and we also
provide them with some additional resources to help them
cope up with the modality.

In this portfolio, enclosed the various artifacts from

each strand of LDM 2. It contains Weekly Learning Plans,
Individual Learning Monitoring Plans, teacher-created
LAS, Home Visitations, and Parent Communications
which were used in this new normal type of education in
this limited time of pandemic that parents are restricted to
go to school.

Annotation: I always ask parents in our group chat about the progress of the
studies of their children and I started visited my pupils sometime in January and
found out that there are some pupils cannot recognize letters and one of them is
this pupil, it was really difficult for her to identify at least few letters in the
alphabet. And because her mother died last 2020 and no one to assist her studies,
so I talked to hers aunt who is a college student to help her do the task. And
during in my follow-up visit on last February, she can already identify more
letters.

In this LDM Course at first was very difficult to work on,

but later on as the course goes on I slowly understand and get the
point that this course can help us teachers to improve in assessing
ourselves and our way of delivering teaching and learnings in
delivering to the learners especially in this time of Pandemic.
This course also opened a lot of opportunities to teachers like
me. This experiences and learnings in the new normal gave me
the wisdom, strength and confidence to develop my IPCRF
Portfolio efficiently and effectively. In this way, I can strongly
prove that I did my best in teaching the learners because of the
MOVs that is present both in my LDM and IPCRF Portfolio.

Annotations: Based on my reflection, it shows that I have a meaningful

experiences of the things to improve my abilities and weaknesses. And as an
educator all important things needs to be documented properly. Yes, It is very
challenging to make this a success, during the implementation of the LDM 2, I
came my realization of things that we should do to give students the quality
education they deserve in spite of this pandemic and also improve our teaching
skills and to adapt to the new normal.
