4.1 General Design Requirements


 Standard for pipe connection: To be confirmed in a later stage of the project

 Standards used for piping: To be confirmed in a later stage of the project

 Any surface of an installation or machine in contact with food must be inert under the conditions of its use, the
components of surface should not migrate or absorbed by food with a concentration being able to harm the
health of the consumer.
 The equipment must be executed without cavities, dead spaces or hollow bodies where food can reside.
 The installation must be built in such way that any surface in contact with process media can be cleaned in
place.
 Phthalate free/ food grade certification for all gaskets used shall be provided

 Material test certificates/food grade certificates of equipment to be provided

5. Documentation
 The technical documentation shall be provided in English
 Documentation form and quantity:
o Electronic documentation (CD, USB Stick): two copies in English language,
o Hard Copy (Paper): two copies in English language.

6. Plant Acceptance (FAT, SAT)


 FAT will be done at suppliers’ workshop before the shipment. Any open point during FAT
shall be fixed within the timeline agreed.
 The SAT will consist on checking the functionality of tanks during product trials.

7. Other Information
 Lead time of the equipment, ex works (time to have the equipment ready at your workshop
for shipment);
 A preliminary GA drawing shall be included with your quotation, indicating material
MOC/nozzle size/nozzle orientation/dimension etc.
