End of Year Skating Show

“Skating into Summer”
Hosted by the Figure Skating Club of Watertown

Watertown, New York ----- The Figure Skating Club of Watertown is hosting its Annual End of the Year Skating Show. This
year’s theme is “Skating into Summer”. It will be held Saturday, April 22 nd at 2:00pm at the Watertown Municipal Arena
at the Alex Duffy Fairgrounds in Watertown, NY. The event is open to the public. The Club encourages donations to
support a local food pantry of either a non-perishable food item or a cash donation.

This has been a successful year for the Club’s skaters with several members medaling in the New York State Empire State
Winter Games in Lake Placid this past February. Placing in the New York State Empire Games qualifies a skater for the
elite State Games of America. The Club had several members participate in the most recent Games which were held in
Des Moines, Iowa this past summer.

The Club also hosted its 11th Annual Snow Town Invitational competition in January with almost 200 skaters participating
from across Upstate New York.
