Learning Cell Question and Answers (LC Q&As) (15 %) (PC, #1, #2, #8, #11)

You will have a reading from a chapter in the textbook. You will read the assigned pages
and then construct a high-level question. This should be a question that goes beyond
repeating facts stated in the book. It cannot simply elicit a “yes” or “no” answer. The
question should require in-depth thinking about some parts of the reading, relating
different ideas, relating it to your own experiences or other readings, synthesizing,
evaluating or comparing content. More feedback will be provided on how you can create
your high-level questions. You should write down your question and then provide a
solid yet brief answer or an outline with the main points of what you consider to
be a good answer.

Both the question and answer should fit on a single page, 12 font size, single-spaced
document. (word count: approximately 300-400).

Make sure you have your name (first/last), title of the assignment (which LC), then your
question followed by a little bit of space and the answer.

At the bottom of the page, you should have the References section. In this case, mostly,
our textbook. You can use outside sources, however, you are not required to.

Co-authorship with another student is possible.

● Assignments are based on the weekly topic/weekly readings:

LC1 ⇒ Week 7: Language Development, Ch.5
LC2 ⇒ Week 9: Knowledge Construction and Higher-level Thinking, Ch. 8 and 9
LC3 ⇒ Week 10: Constructivism Ch.10

Kahoot! modification: Since our class won a ⅔ of LCs assignment, you will be required
to do only two - of your choice- Learning Cells. You do not have to notify us which of
these you will be completing. Simply check the due dates and upload them when they
are due. To ensure “mastery of learning”, you will be able to resubmit these two LCs.
This is a new modification to original guidelines as a result of Kahoot! On Piaget,
Vygotsky and Erikson.

In some classes, you will be paired up with another student(s). You will each take turns
asking your question, hearing the answer and discussing further on the answer. There
will be three LC Q&As throughout the course. Due Fridays, 23:59 pm
