1. In your reading so far, you may have noticed that the characters have different
ideas about how men and women should act or be. Use the following chart to
record textual evidence of what it means to be a man in the culture or cultures
represented in the novel you are reading. In the second column, respond to
the examples you find. Use additional paper as needed.
