KNOWLEDGE SHARING

• Knowledge sharing is the process through

which explicit or tacit knowledge is
communicated to other individuals

• Discussion groups facilitate knowledge sharing

by enabling individuals to explain their
knowledge to the rest of the group members.
KNOWLEDGE SHARING

• The main target here is to communicate

to(explore) the main relationships that connect
the reasons (as the capturing outputs) with the
suitable results (as the discovery outputs).

• Knowledge is shared and not recommended

based on knowledge exchanged among the
team members.

KNOWLEDGE APPLICATION

• Knowledge application is the process through which

some individuals utilize knowledge possessed by
other individuals (such as consultants) without
actually acquiring, or learning, that knowledge.

• The main target here is to solve the problem

through focusing on the relationship between
particular reasons and results (as the sharing
outputs).

DIRECTION OR ROUTINES

• Direction refers to the process through which

individuals possessing the knowledge direct the
action of another individual/s in order to reach
the solution(ex. Help desk, customer center,
and Troubleshooting guide)
• Routines involve the utilization of knowledge
embedded in procedures, rules, and norms that
guide future behavior (ex. GAAP, GAR, and
attendance policy)
DIRECTION OR ROUTINES

• KM application mechanism that is appropriate

for an organizational subunit depend on the
nature of its tasks

– Task Uncertainty
– Task Interdependence
