1. As a future tourism and hospitality professional, would you enroll yourself in an

intensive course for administering basic first aid?
Being in a hospitality professional and future tourism, it is important to have an
intensive course for administering basic first aid, because it could be used in emergency
purposes, as well we need people to provide basic first aid in order to be prepared.
When working in the hospitality business, it is critical that you have the skills and
knowledge to aid your guests promptly whether there is an incident or a medical
emergency on your site. According to Uçar (2002), hotel workers with first aid skills and
knowledge play an essential role in saving human lives; thus, it is critical that hotel staff
are informed about first aid protocols until emergency service paramedics arrive at the
scene. Tourist health care is defined by Aydn and Eker (2011) as "the necessity to have
health care services for urgent and abrupt emerging events throughout their term of
travel for holiday reasons." Thus, it is important for hospitality professionals and also
future tourism professionals, needs to have a intensive course, in order to be more
prepared to emergencies and also things that may happen in their premises. Also, me,
as a future professional in this field, it is okay for us to have a course when it comes to
basic first aid, as well as hotels and tourists’ attractions, should prioritize the safety and
the health of the people or tourists. Also, I would willingly enroll in this course, also to
develop my skills and also to be a help to the people, and also it will be used in my
profession and also a life skill. In terms of operations, hotel establishments have unique
features. Apart from lodging, they also provide food and drink, entertainment, and
security services. It is critical that visitors' expectations be satisfied, and services that
satisfy the demands for health care and emergency services are provided. As a result,
until competent medical staff arrive at the scene of the incident, staff with first aid
knowledge and skill should be available.
2. What do you think are the advantages if you are equipped with such a skill?

Skills are concepted on the way on how we learned it by studying and also by our
experiences. Like first-aid, this is life-skill indeed. The life in the tourism and hospitality
management is more on how you will satisfy the customers and also the tourists, but
also the safety of the people is needed also to secure their trust and also their
satisfactory. First Aid education is beneficial to both you as a person and your society. It
allows you to aid those who have been harmed in an accident or emergency scenario
until assistance comes. A first aid course taught by a highly medically qualified,
healthcare, or emergency services expert teaches your life-saving skills and provides
you the intelligence to realize what to do in an emergency. A practical training allows
you to practice hands-on techniques like resuscitation on a manikin or assisting in the
rescue of a choking adult, infant, or kid. The ability to provide basic first aid can be the
difference between life and death. According to a Red Cross survey, 59 percent of
deaths from injuries might have been avoided if first aid had already been administered
before emergency services arrived. Thus, having a such skill, will be a good help in
helping others as well as yourself, and also it will give you good confidence, to make a
move or step in, in times of trouble. It is both beneficial to your personal and work life,
thus people that are equipped with this skill, is a good source of help in their community.
Nobody knows what the future holds for us or our loved ones. Sudden sickness, such
as a heart attack, stroke, serious bleeding, or breathing difficulties, need quick
treatment, then you'll be well prepared to offer after completing a course. First aid also
prepares you to cope with hemorrhage, burns, difficulty breathing, cuts, chills, stings,
splints, and fainting so that you can respond successfully to whatever medical crisis life
can throw at you.
