UNIT OVERVIEW

Goals + Rationale
Description: Students learn to create healthy, wholesome vegetarian diets by preparing suitable foods in
a variety of ways.

Students expand their knowledge and skills in the production of a variety of vegetarian cuisine
products. Many students tend to turn their noses up at foods when they hear the word “vegetarian”.
This unit serves to educate students about vegetarian diets and to demonstrate the capacity for
creating a well-balanced vegetarian based diet.

*Questions booklets are included to guide students in learning the basic nutritional information about
vegetarian cuisine.*
