Q
• Maximum Tailwind for Takeoff
• Maximum Crosswind for Takeoff
• Maximum Tailwind for Landing
• Maximum Crosswind for Landing
A
Maximum Tailwind for Landing b 15 Kt
Crosswind for Landing 40 Kt
a
The maximum certified crosswind value is an AFM limitation.
It is an engine limitation.
b
If the tailwind at landing reported by ATC or ATIS is more than
10 kt, FLAPS 3 is not permitted for landing.
If the airport pressure altitude is above 8,000 ft the Maximum
Tailwind is reduced to 10 kt.

A
Maximum Positive Differential Pressure 9.2 PSI
Q
• Maximum Differential Pressure for the RAM
AIR to Operate?
A
• RAM AIR inlet opens, only if the differential pressure is below 1 PSI.
Q
• Airport Elevation
• With a Glide Slope Angle
• Authorised Weight for Autoland
A
• With an Airport Elevation between -1,000 ft and 9,200 ft.
• With a Glide Slope Angle between -2.5° and -3.5°.
• On runways and terrain profiles before the runway with CAT II/III
characteristics.
• With CAT II and CAT III ILS beam, for ILS operations.
• For weights between 305 t and maximum landing weight.

Q
• Can BTV be used on contaminated runways ?
A
• BTV must be used only on dry and wet runways.
• The use of BTV is prohibited on contaminated runways.
Q
• How many times can the APU start be
attempted and how long must the wait be
after ?
A
• In the case of an aborted APU start, the flight crew must wait 60
seconds before a new start attempt.
(This 60 seconds period is due to the ECB inhibition logic after an
aborted APU start).
• After three consecutive APU start attempts, the flight crew must wait
60 min before a new start attempt.
(This 60 min period is to allow the APU starter to cool down).

triggers. The starter-on time resets when the flight crew sets to off the ENG MASTER
lever.
• The starter-on time begins when the flight crew sets to on the ENG MASTER lever and
stops when the starter disengages, i.e. when N2 is 58.4%.
• After a long period of use, a starter cool down period is required, approximately 2
min cool down for each minute of starter time.
• When the starter accumulates 15 min of use, the starter must cool down for 30 min
before a new engine start is attempted.
• If the N2 is above 25%, no running engagement of the starter is possible.
• Note: High tailwinds (i.e. higher than 25 kt) may have an adverse effect on start.
It may be necessary to reposition the airplane into the wind.
Q
