DESCRIPTION OF THE BUSINESS:
Get to know more The MIX and MATCH PH – Dagupan City branch by knowing its
business type and form, where can you locate and enjoy its food offerings, and lastly, its well-
known food dishes that will surely makes you come back again and again.

Type and form of business

The MIX and MATCH PH – Dagupan City branch is a corporation type of business
with several branches established all over the Luzon area (Metro Manila, Baguio City,
Laguna, Dagupan City). A corporation is a type of organization with one main owner that
has the legal capacity to conduct business and to hold real estate and other assets and
liabilities. It is comprised of individuals, groups of individuals, and other organizations.
The MIX and MATCH PH, being a corporation, has advantages compared to its
competitors in the industry, such as limited liability, which means that shareholders of the
corporation are only liable up to the amount of their investment. Another advantage is the
source of capital, where a corporation can raise substantial amounts by selling shares and
issuing bonds. Aside from that, The MIX and MATCH PH has a perpetual life since there
is no limit to its life because ownership of it can pass through many generations of
investors, and The MIX and MATCH PH is a S corporation where profits and losses are
passed through the shareholders, avoiding the double taxation aspect for those in the C
corporation type.

Location and description of the facility

Description of the product offerings

The MIX and MATCH PH proudly offers dishes that are an infusion of foreign
flavors into the typical Pinoy style dish, making it more palatable and presentable for every
age. The MIX and MATCH PH guarantees its customers that every dish is a masterpiece
and is composed of meticulously chosen and fresh ingredients that are highly favorable for
their budget and tastebuds. The MIX and MATCH PH food offerings are as follows:

MAIN
1. Sizzling Tofu Sisig - a ma po tofu–inspired dish incorporated with the famous
Kapampangan dish, sisig. Ma Po Tofu is a popular
Chinese dish from Sichuan Province, where spicy food is
king and the signature spice of the region—the Sichuan
peppercorn—adds up the spiciness of the dish with its
spicy sauce that coats the soft cubes of silken tofu, tasty
bits of ground pork, and chopped scallions. This dramatic
and spicy flavor of ma po tofu gets to the next level as The
MIX and MATCH PH gets to add its twist with the
beloved Sisig of Pampanga, adding an egg to the ma po
tofu, some chicharon bits for added texture, and a little bit
of mayonnaise to balance that savory-spicy flavor, all
served on a sizzling plate.

2. Sunday Roast Inasal - with a British origin, Sunday roast is a perfectly roasted
beef served with crispy roast potatoes (roasties),
carrots, steamed broccoli, and peas with the infusion
of Inasal sauce (instead of Yorkshire pudding) on the
side as the highlight to add a Filipino touch to the
dish. Truly, a masterpiece served by The MIX and
MATCH PH.
3. Paella Guisado – Paella Guisado is another
fusion of flavors from Spain and the
Philippines. Paella Guisado of The MIX and
MATCH PH comprises meats and seafoods,
along with Calasparra rice and mixed
vegetables sauteed in a shrimp paste with
chicharon bits on top for some texture.
4. Stir Fried Adobo – Same as the typical stir-fried noodles of Shanghai, China,
Stir Fried Adobo served in The MIX and MATCH
PH is slow-cooked tenderloin pork slices fried in a
pan to achieve that nice seared and browning on the
outside while maintaining the moisture on the
inside, adding some soy sauce and oyster sauce
alongside with some aromatics to enhance the
flavor. It is usually served hot and with extra sauce.

5. Teriyaki Glazed Blue Marlin Steak – Teriyaki sauce from the Land of the
Rising Sun, Japan, is as popular as ketchup.
Thus, this sauce became vital in the
enhancement of The MIX and MATCH PH’s
formulation of their blue marlin steak, where
the fish slices coated with the teriyaki sauce
will be pan-fried with a gradual amount of
butter, garlic, and rosemary until seared and
perfectly cooked.

SIDES
1. Hopiang Asadong Tahong – Hopia, known for its Chinese origin, has been a
favorite snack for Filipinos. With its variety of
flavors in the market such as Hopiang Baboy, Ube,
Monggo, etc., The MIX and MATCH PH proudly
introduces their own version of Hopiang Asadong
Tahong. Tahong, also known as black mussels, is
simmered in a sweet-savory sauce or Asado sauce
(the combination of soy sauce, brown sugar, pepper,
star anise, and a small amount of calamansi juice)
until tender before getting stuffed in the dough of
the hopia.
2. Burrito Empanada - we got to combine the
famous Burrito of Mexico to the Empanada of Ilocos
where the juicy and packed with flavor burrito filling
that composes of beef, white rice, lettuce, red tomato,
cheese, and cilantro is combined with empanada
filling, grated unripe papaya, egg, boiled beans, and
chorizo for extra flavor was made into one powerful
dish when wrapped in the empanada dough and fried.
3. Nori Chicken Fingers - the Nori Chicken Fingers served in The MIX and
MATCH PH are a must try. The chicken is perfectly
marinated with seasonings, coated in potato starch
(to attain that crunch and crisp), beaten egg with
pepper, salt, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder, and
Japanese bread crumbs mixed with crushed nori to
attain that nice color and texture of the Chicken
Fingers.
4. Korean-style Fried Calamares (KFC)- the Calamares is at its new level as
The MIX and MATCH PH enhances it with a
Korean touch. The Calamares is coated with potato
starch, egg, and breadcrumbs; it is also fried twice
to achieve the crunchiness and crispiness while
maintaining its tenderness on the inside; and it is
then combined with the Korean Fried Chicken
Sauce, which is a combination of tomato sauce,
gochujang, honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, minced
garlic, and sesame oil. Surely, this is one of the best
sellers at The Mix and Match PH, served with
sesame seeds on top and onion leek slices.

DESERTS and SWEETS
1. Black Forest Double Cocoa Cupcake – Black forest cupcakes, which
originated in Germany with the famous cacao of the
Philippines, are a masterpiece. This luscious
chocolate cupcake has a concentrated cocoa filling
inside and a kirschwasser, and then a deep layer of
whipped cream and a fresh cherry on top, shredded
chocolate made from cocoa as its decoration for
final touches, and cocoa powder infused on the
dough for that double cocoa flavor. This is
undeniably a double cocoa black forest cupcake
that’s a must-try.
2. Dulce de Leche Puto – Dulce de leche is a
thick, creamy, perfectly sweet confection made
by heating sweetened milk. It has a beautiful
nutty color and wonderful depth of flavor, best
described as milky caramel. This amazing
flavor is incorporated into the typical fluffy and
soft puto, or steamed rice cakes, loved by many
Filipinos, making them a tandem of sweetness.
3. Strawberry Mousse Cake – A mousse cake
originated in France during the 18th century.
This French dessert is a well-loved delicacy for
its light and airy texture. It is typically in the
flavor of chocolate, but The MIX and MATCH
PH has set the standard so high as it proudly
introduces its Strawberry Mousse Cake in the
market. With its airy, fluffy, and velvety
appearance plus the fruity and sweetness of the
strawberry, the Strawberry Mousse Cake of The MIX and MATCH PH is really
a catch for those who have sweet tooth and are looking for a new extra desert.
4. Leche Flan Parfait – The famous French parfait, when combined with the
delicious and creamy Leche Flan, is heaven.
Parfait is a frozen dessert made by boiling
cream, eggs, sugar, and syrup to create a
custard-like puree. This delicious and sweet
parfait is paired up with an indulgently
creamy leche flan along with granola, nuts,
and some fresh fruits.

5. Cendol Halo-Halo – The Philippines' well-
known halo-halo is a bomb when combined
with Singapore's Cendol. Cendol is a chilled,
silky-smooth concoction of sweetened iced
coconut milk that has a faintly smoky,
caramelized flavor from the addition of palm
sugar syrup. The rich liquid serves as a
sumptuous foundation for the delicate threads
of green rice-flour jelly, which are colored
vividly by pandan juice made from the leaves
of a tropical screw pine. Sweet beans, macapuno, sweetened jackfruit,
strawberry scraps, and a gelatin that is typically used in Halo-Halo were
combined with it to give it more of a twist and texture.
6. Kulfi Cacao – Kulfi came from India and is a frozen dessert made from pure
fat milk, sugar, and flavoring ingredients, with
cream, chopped nuts (almond and pistachio), and
fruit puree to add flavor and texture. The
highlight, cocoa milk sauce from the Philippines
(made up of cocoa powder, milk, cream, sugar,
and vanilla extract), is then drizzled over the
kulfi to add to its sweetness.

DRINKS
1. Coconut Dalgona Coffee - Dalgona coffee originates
from Busan, South Korea, and is typically made from
whipped, sweetened instant coffee beat into a thick
foam with water, sugar, and milk to get that extra
creaminess. In The Mix and Match PH, the milk is
super extra because the milk used to make their
Dalgona coffee is coconut milk, a milky, creamy, and
delicious alternative to get that new twist.
2. Kapeng Barako Tiramisu – a typical tiramisu desert from France made with
eggs, sugar, lady finger biscuits, mascarpone,
coffee, and cocoa, put into the Philippines’ Kapeng
Barako. The goodness and texture of Tiramisu are
incorporated to make a new version of Kapeng
Barako. With this new variation of The MIX and
MATCH PH, you will enjoy the distinctively strong
aroma of Kapeng Barako while enjoying the crunch
and chocolatey taste of Tiramisu.

10 | P a g e
3. Iced Milky Malunggay Tea – When talking about milk teas, the word
"wintermelon" automatically comes to mind,
but in The MIX and MATCH PH, milk tea gets
a new twist. Introducing the Iced Milky
Malunggay Tea, where the goodness of creamy
milk and the aroma of tea are combined with the
nutritious moringa leaves for a healthy-creamy
favorite.
4. Choco - Yogurt Blend – Chocolate made from cocoa beans is one of the best
sweets in the Philippines, but with the soured
and slightly creamy yogurt that originated in
Mesopotamia, there is no doubt that this will
surely burst in your tastebuds with the right
combination of sweet, sour, and cream.

5. Strawberry Lemonade – A sweet and sour

drink from Paris, France, is well-loved here in the
Philippines: the lemonade. Adding a twist to this
refreshing drink, The MIX and MATCH PH offers
lemonade in a new flavor by incorporating Baguio’s
strawberry into the glass of lemonade to make that
tutti-fruity combo of refreshment.

6. Honeydew Pineapple – Honeydew came from the

Middle East and has a sweet, refreshing nature. The MIX
and MATCH PH matches it with the Bukidnon’s
pineapple to make that perfect blend of sweet and sour
taste.

Methods of selling products, advertisement, and promotions
The MIX and MATCH PH — Dagupan City has its own ways of selling,
advertising, and introducing its brand name and market offerings to the public. It is well
planned and maintained in order to consistently meet the desired outcome and expectations
of both the management and the consumers. They are as follows:
* in terms of PRODUCT
The MIX and MATCH PH —Dagupan City promises its consumers that
every dish served is made up of fresh, best-quality, and clean ingredients. Aside
from that, consumers’ health is one of the topmost priorities of the restaurant’s
management; thus, the Mix and Match PH assures everyone that the dish has
undergone good and hygienic food processing and has met the criteria of Good
Hygiene Practices (GHP) as well as the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points
(HACCP) for food safety.
* in terms of PRICE
The MIX and MATCH PH chain of restaurants offers food products of the
best quality at a justifiable price. Since the consumers’ demographic ranges from
different ages, genders, lifestyles, professions, and religions, The Mix and Match
PH’s menu is highly affordable for everyone, ranging from 100 Php to 900 Php.
The Mix and Match PH is absolutely true to its claims that it is committed to serving
you the best of the best. Best quality, best price, and best place
* in terms of PLACE
The MIX and MATCH PH is located at Arellano St., Brgy. Pantal, Dagupan
City, 2400 Pangasinan, and is placed at the heart of the city, making it accessible
for everyone. With the location’s public popularity, large population, and position
as the center of the province's trade and industry, Dagupan City undoubtedly
requires a restaurant that provides the best quality meals and dishes to satisfy every
citizen's cravings and go-to comfort meals at an affordable and worthy price. The
MIX and MATCH PH has its own way to reach you by opening delivery services
for those who are unable to go to the exact location.
* in terms of PROMOTION
The MIX and MATCH PH started its humble beginnings in the business
industry by introducing its brand name, brand offerings, and background online and
to the public in order to draw potential customers' attention to the business itself
and to set a limelight on the restaurant, making it catch the public's interest. It
also includes promotion through tarpaulins, flyers, and business cards. Aside from
that, promotions during the opening week are also observable, like the distribution
of the free Mixers and Matches card, which serves as the loyalty or VIP card for
consumers. With this card, consumers can help Only Hope Charity, a charity that
supports "out of school youths," by purchasing food and donating 10% of the profit

14 | P a g e
to the restaurant's and the charity's partnership. The partnership of The MIX and
MATCH PH with the said charity is a continuing legacy since the establishment of
the first branch in Metro Manila. The MIX and MATCH PH also offers package
deals, accepts bulk orders, and caters big events such as christenings, birthdays,
anniversaries, weddings, etc. at discounted prices. The restaurant itself engages in
gimmicks such as giving stash cards to customers who complete 10 orders worth
Php. 500 or more, and the next order will have a Php. 100 off discount. The
restaurant’s management also has special promos for students and senior citizens,
abiding by the law of the Republic of the Philippines. And speaking of gimmicks,
The MIX and MATCH PH is also open in hosting gigs of local bands during peak
season or on special holidays to give their customers the opportunity to enjoy food
while listening to their favorite music and bands.

COMPETITION:
An efficient and successful business entity knows how to determine its edges over
competitors as well as its gaps with them. In business, knowing how to compete and with whom
to compete is important. It takes more than just a study of your company's advantages and flaws;
it also includes research on your competitors in the business field. Analyzing your competition is
like determining your strategies and plans and laying down your cards in a smart way at the perfect
time. Business is gambling, and the one who’ll be successful is the one who takes risks and plays
it well.

Identification of competitors including strengths and weaknesses

The food business has many competitors with different brand
names. Hence, The MIX and MATCH PH — Dagupan City tries to list them all
down and know their competitors' strengths and weaknesses in order to make
plans that’ll keep them on the edge and leading the pack.
1. Fast food restaurants like McDonalds, Jollibee, Chowking, Mang Inasal, etc.
have loyal customers and offer products at a lower price than The MIX and
MATCH PH’s food offerings. But, despite the fame of the aforementioned
restaurants, there is no doubt that fast foods are more alarming to consume
because offered products on fast food restaurants are often high in calories, fat,
and sugar but low in nutrients and fiber.
2. Restaurants that offer highly foreign cuisines, such as Korean, Western, and
other American cuisines, are around the area. There are some picky eaters that
prefer the original flavors or taste of a certain food, and they opt to find that in

15 | P a g e
restaurants that offer authentic specialties from different countries. But, in
today’s situation in the food business, where there is a heated competition
between brands, it is rare to find a restaurant that offers the traditional specialty
of a certain country due to the innovation and enhancements done by business
owners.
3. Eateries and street food stalls are invading roads and sidewalks these days to
make them accessible to the public. Eateries and street food stalls can be found
everywhere and offer cheap food products, but food safety and cleanliness for
consumers are at risk, as is the nutrient content of their offerings, which are
somehow lower in nutritional value but high in preservatives, food coloring,
calories, and fat.
4. Other restaurants are into food combinations. Since the high level of
competition in the food industry, improvements, enhancements, and innovation
revolve around each restaurant to please the majority of consumers, giving them
different variations at a much lower price. Thus, The MIX and MATCH PH is
competitive enough to answer back by bringing its incomparable and delicious
specialties at an affordable price.

SUMMARY:
The MIX and MATCH PH—Dagupan City is committed to its promise by serving you the
best of the best. With the growing population, increasing consumer demands and expectations, and
heated competition among restaurants, The MIX and MATCH PH is very much willing and
capable of giving its customers the specialties and service that they want and deserve. Since the
restaurant’s management focuses on the mixing and matching of different famous cuisines onto
the Filipino plate, it is expected that in the long run, more varieties of product offerings will be
introduced to give their consumers more choices and options to choose from. Furthermore, The
MIX and MATCH PH management aims to be at the pinnacle of food businesses not just to gain
profits and be known but also to satisfy and protect their valued customers, train employees in
terms of culinary, hospitality, and business, support charities in their small ways to reach out for
those in need, and maintain stability in order to continue its food service for another years in the
industry.
