Poetry Showcase

Introduction

• For this project, students will create a poetry book and


a video to show peers and their parents about the
poetry they created.
• They will be reading different types of poetry in the
classroom and on their devices to help them draft and
create their versions of specific poetic genres.

Overview
• Students will create a poetry book
and a video to show peers and
their parents about the poetry
they created
• Students will use PowerPoint,
Teams, and Flip
PowerPoint

The learning environment will take place in the classroom daily on laptops.

I will first show and explain a type of poetry, students will help me create a whole
class example, and then I will release students to try and make their own.

Students will create a rough draft of their poetry (written or typed), show me for
approval, and then type it on their PowerPoint.

Students will be able to customize their page and add images and decorations to
personalize their poem pages on PowerPoint
