Savory Pinwheel Scone

Equipment
Bowl
Measuring cups
Measuring spoons
Lined tray
Knife to mix.
Chopping board and knife
Rolling pin

Ingredients
1 C flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
25 grams butter
½ cup milk (just under)

Possible fillings- grated cheese, ham, salami, spinach, cream


cheese, chutney/relish, sweet chilli sauce, marmite/vegemite,
tomato, corn

Method
1. Turn oven to 200C fan bake.
2. Mix flour baking powder and salt into a large bowl.
3. Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles fine
breadcrumbs.
4. Make a well in the centre.
5. Pour in the milk and mix quickly until a soft dough
forms. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and knead
lightly.
6. Roll out dough into rectangle shape.
7. Place filling evenly over dough.
8. Roll up tightly and cut into same sized pieces.
9. Place on lined baking tray
10. Brush with milk to glaze.
11. Bake at 200C for 10 minutes until cooked.
12. Transfer to cooling rack.
