SAVE THE CHILDREN

Save the children is a charity organization dedicated to helping children around the world. They
were founded in 1919 by a woman named eglantyne Jebb and are dedicated to the protection and
development of children around the world. They are dedicated to solving problems such as
hunger and famine, education, and poverty (Why Save the Children?, n.d.).

Save the children wants to solve the problem of child hunger around the world, especially in
poorer places, recent events such as the war in ukraine have contributed to a global food
shortage, making many more children starve among other problems such as economic or natural
crises .Save the chldren wishes to help these children by donating, sending messages to congress
or participating in charity acts to help them (What’s Causing the World Hunger Crisis?, n.d.).
Save the children wants to help bring education to children, much like hunger, education and the
lack of it in children is caused by economic and social problems problems such as poverty,
gender roles, etc. Save the children wants to bring education to these children through the use of
various programs, funds, etc. They have given aroun 274 million children around the globe the
education they deserve (Education, n.d.). Save the Children wants to solve the problems of
poverty, a large contributing factor to both problems, in America alone, lose to 12 million
children are living in poverty, mainly due to a lack of education an job opportunities for their
parents. Save the Children uses fund raising to help such children (Poverty in America and the
Childhood Equity Gap, n.d.).

In essence, one could say that Save The Children embodies the Christian value of giving to the
poor and needy and valuing children. Many Children around the world are stricken with poverty,
a lack of academic learning and a lack of resources. Save The Children wishes to help Children
around the globe be able to have a good and decent life and be able to grow up to be functioning
citizens
