- Basically, what i got from it, was that Filipino culture and it’s pre-colonial history is very

complicated and nuanced, and our solidarity with our LGBT brothers and sisters as a
modern post-colonial Philippines is rather complicated. There is much to discuss, yet
there is also much to do, for one a question we should ask is the history and definition of
gender and it’s spiritual value to us as Filipinos from a historical lense. Back in the days
of paganism, certain cultures within the Philippines sort of embraced the feminine side to
their shamans. All in all, despite our teachings, there is a sense of solidarity and unity
with our LGBT brothers and sisters?
