Accomplishment Report
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” –
Mahatma Gandhi. With the believe that leaders should be of service to others once
again reached out to the community - this time at the Barangay Dontogan Child
Development Daycare Center- through the Project CFRT-BATA Christian Formation
Reading Tutorial Book and Toy Activities Series 2 in collaboration with the Division
Federation SSG.
The said activity took place at the Dontogan Covered Court on March 18, 2023 at
7:30 a.m. to 12 noon where the student leaders, volunteer teachers, and other students
from various schools in Baguio rendered their time to do a reading tutorial session with
the pupils of the said barangay.
The program started with a prayer headed by the KPSEP club Ms. Bismah
Eguid. Later on, the nationalistic song proceeded through Ms. Vea Moana Guinongo,
the Girls Scout of the Philippines president. Then the preliminaries were presented by
Ma’am Josephine P. Danis the SSG/BKD/ and Interact Club president. Furthermore,
Ma’am Augie Pearl Simangan rendered the welcome remarks. The student leaders
headed by Clyde Macam the Alisto Club president performed an intermission to
entertain the participants of the projects. Moreover, the student leaders taught the
daycare students about proper hygiene. Wherein, they taught the students how to wash
their hands properly, how to brush their teeth properly, and how to comb their hair
properly. Lastly, the student leaders performed and taught the daycare students the
different Christian action songs, such as the love for Jesus, roll over the ocean, pray
every time, and who is that man.
Later on, all the participants enjoyed their snacks and then the reading tutorial
proceeded smoothly. Then to conclude the activity, a community dance was done with
the help of the student leaders and the Sto.Tomas National High School teachers.
