and cooperation among men and women, and boys and girls. Christian Formation & Reading
Tutorial-Book and Toy Activites is sustained by different school clubs including the members of
the faculty of Santo Tomas National High School. This shows working together in unity and
mutual reciprocity. Project CFRT-BATA promotes the culture of working together to achieve
some of goals of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nation and the
Department of Education core values on Maka-Diyos, Maka-Tao, Maka-Kalikasan at Maka-
Bansa with love and peace amongst organization and clubs.
III. Description
The project aims to sustain good practices among the teacher-advisers and student
leaders and the community. It is also collaborated with the different school clubs and
organizations, NGOs, other GOs and private individuals.
Project CFRT-BATA has two (2) banner programs. They are “ARFIN Nest” and “CHLOE
Role”. More details will be read below.
ARFIN Nest is one of the major banner programs of Project CFRT-BATA. This means
A- Awareness R- Resist Peer Pressure F- Focus on your Goals I- Inform others N- Nurture
Health. Thus, it is termed as ARFIN Nest because this program used totally for care and
management. It has the concern and compassion among the diverse needs of learners, teachers
and stakeholders. This program conveys the concept of No Poverty, Good Health and Well-
being. It also caters Christian Formation. This targets the DepEd core values Maka-tao and
Maka-diyos. ARFIN Nest advocates love and dedication towards the country; and this is an
integral part of our growth of the nation. This is also in connection to the United Nations
sustainable development goals especially on the number one(1) which is end poverty in all its
forms everywhere, and number three(3) which is to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being
for all at all ages.
CHLOE Role it is through this CHLOE Role that we can encourage youth to have their own
interests and activities where they can make positive changes. So this CHLOE Role is promoted
through activities and experiences that help young men and women develop social, ethical,
emotional, physical and cognitive competencies. CHLOE Role means Awareness as a
Response Cultivate Happiness in Literature: Open a book and Explore! to the need of the
learners. It is called CHLOE Role because the school organizations and school clubs mediates
interactions between less connected and therefore keep the network together and to have
christian formation and reading tutorial with environmental, heroes, and other topics. This falls
under the DepEd four core values – maka-diyos, maka-tao, maka-bansa and maka-kalikasan.
The program works holistically among boys and girls, and men and women because it caters on
the mental, emotional, economical, and physical well-being of an individual.
The activities for this training are based on the mandated national program of supreme
student government. The activities help young people gain self-confidence and self-esteem. It
builds strong relationships with organizations that share the aims, thereby further increasing the
capacity of young people to build on their skills and aptitudes for their own personal growth and
their community’s long term success and development. This is also in relation to the UN
sustainable development goals –SDG4 Ensuing inclusive and equitable quality education and
promote lifelong learning opportunities for all , SDG 16,Promote peaceful and inclusive societies
for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and
inclusive institutions at all levels.
