Name three (3) topics in our course that has impacted you as a student future
educator. Discuss why.
1. During my second semester in this course I learned many lessons that I
would may apply in my everyday life. These are the following topics that has
impacted me as student and future educator. The first one is the topic that we’ve
tackled in the front of all my classmates and also to Mrs. Mercado entitled, “The
Historical Foundations of Education”. Wherein we taught to us that schools play an
important in every person life because it was considered as our second home that will
build our different skills in terms of what kind profession that we choose. In this part,
I learned the different educational goals and curriculum of different era on how they
collaborate to each other and learn in different ways. Also, it shows on how they stand
for on the educations that they encountered, concerned and developing different
things such as practical skills, military skills, religious commitment, classic skills and
such. In schools there’s an instructor that help us to gain academic knowledge as well
as other personality traits. It  also teach us on how to work in a team, share things with
others, discipline, manners and many other things. Besides socialization, another
significant manifest function of school is the transmission of cultural norms and
values to new generations. Schools help to mold a diverse population into one society
with a shared national identity and prepare future generations for their citizenship
roles. Education gives us a knowledge of the world around us and changes it into
something better. As a student I appreciate and value the importance of education
because it can help us to solve today's problems, it provides a perspective that
explains and illuminates our present activities as teachers and by using our past, we
can shape the future. Second one, is the “Strengths and Weaknesses of the Filipino
Characters”, this topic always remind and enlighten my mind that if I apply all of
these I may become good image and example to others having Faith in God is always
be the best for me because if gives me strengths to reach all of my wants; by
accepting all of my mistakes and remembering the moral lessons in it. Also, being
joyful and humorous person are one of the favorite asset of people by sharing and
showing positive vibes may lead to others happiness because we’re intended to make
joke about our good and even bad fortune, to smile even in the most trying of
times. On the other hand, also there have weaknesses of being a Filipino in terms of
character some of these are having lack of discipline, passivity and lack of initiative,
colonial mentality and so on. These characters are some of mine that I need to
improve and change for the betterment of myself because If I and we will continue it
our world would become a legally blind because I as a future educator must do our
best to become the best version of ourselves and role model to others for as to have a
productive and be known country. Lastly, the “Role of Teachers in the
Community”, a teacher plays a majorly important role in a community, offering
students guidance and sometimes being the first adult in a child’s life to show interest
in their goals. Teachers help shape the community and can direct students in positive
directions that they may not have pursued otherwise. In reality, teachers have the most
important job in the world. Those who have an impact on the children of society have

the power to change lives. Not just for those children themselves, but for the lives of
all.
2. It is a big privileged for me to share and voice out my personal experiences,
insights and learnings about this pandemic that we are currently experienced. First
and foremost, as different nations deal with grave threats due to this pandemic that no
one can say how and when it will be done, we face a new world with a dilemma at
hand where we either work and adjust collectively to counter this problem or perhaps
individually seek asylum utilizing our privileges. However, we dwell into this
unfamiliar realm, is to work and collaborate as one by looking the best possible means
regardless of fear and disappointments. As we faced this crisis I as good leader,
former scout, responsible citizen, and future educator, I made myself useful to the
community by abiding all the mandatory rules and curfew as mandated by the Local
Government Unit. I would also encourage everyone to the same, let us always
remember that we should all be accountable for the well-being of everyone and that
nobody is fighting alone. All we need to do to minimize the risk are always stay at
home with our families, keep updated, praying for our dear front liners for the
betterment of our society. Thirdly, by suggesting some things of what we can
contribute to the community and call for the better actions to pass a better and safe
Philippines to the next generation. Just spread love and positivity. As I’ve noticed
these are the things that I’ve learned so far. First of all, pandemics have brought the
family together. In times of mourning, no matter what, poor or rich. Watch and work
together not to haul down. Be a good and responsible citizen. Time for self and family
are very significance. And most important of all, no matter how much money you
have, no matter how rich, and at the end of the day, your money stays cash. Being
thrifty is important. It may seem ordinary act but it can save lives. Materialism.
Always remember, “Our faith to the only creator and to the country must not cease
until our fight is over”.
