1. Introduction
A request for study was issued by HSE in order to increase and maintain the pressure in the
SWI firefighting networks at 4 bars
The justification requested study be:
3. New consumption by the installation fire protection system of the electrical transformer
and its connection to the existing fire protection network.

3. Discussion
To define the problem and take charge of this concern a site visit at the SWI unit was
performed in presence of utility supervisors and it’s appears the following:

2. PVC output pressure is 4.5 bar (see attached photos). The representative of the Utilities
Department can adjust the pressure regulator (PCV) as per needed.

The problem is clear and the solution is clear.For this it is necessary to repair
immediately this leak in order to keep the system under pressure.
4. Recommendations
- Lock of the all valve chamber’s (in paticulary PCV near GP2/Z).
