Conversation Between Midwife & Patient

Midwife: Good morning, Mr. Smith. My name is Mrs. Kassie, I will be your midwife today. Can
you tell me how you're feeling?
Patient: Good morning, Mrs. Kassie. I'm feeling a bit weak and tired.
Midwife: I see. I'll be checking your vital signs now, if that's okay with you. May I have your
wrist, please?
Patient: Sure, here it is.
Midwife: Thank you. I'm going to take your pulse. (Pause) Your pulse is a bit elevated. Do you
feel any pain or discomfort?
Patient: No, not really.
Midwife: Okay, let me check your blood pressure next. Can you please roll up your sleeve?
Patient: Sure.
Midwife: (Inflating the blood pressure cuff) This might feel a bit tight. (Pause) Your blood
pressure is a bit high. Have you been feeling stressed lately?
Patient: Yes, I have been under a lot of pressure at work.
Midwife: I see. I'll make sure to inform the doctor. Lastly, I'll check your temperature. Please
open your mouth and place the thermometer under your tongue.
Patient: (Opens his mouth and waits for the thermometer to beep)
Midwife: (Checks the thermometer) Your temperature is normal. That's good news. Is there
anything else I can help you with?
Patient: No, that's all. Thank you, Mrs. Johnson.
Midwife: You're welcome, Mr. Smith. Please let me know if you need anything else.
