Midwife : Morning.. oh Mrs, come in, please have your sit mr and mrs. Can I might know

Patient : Thank you, my name is ..... and my husband is ...... I live........

Midwife : Can I help you ?

Patient : I want to check my pregnancy.

Midwife : OK, do you have already children before?

Patient : Not yet, this is my first time pregnancy

Midwife : Alright,do you remember when the first day of your lastmenstruation period is?

Patient : Yes, if I am not mistaken, it was on 19 July 2017

Midwife : Emm, if i count from the first day of last menstruation, Mrs.already pregnancy 12
week . do you have problem in this pregnancy ?

Patient :Well, I feel like always want to throw up get dizzy. I barelyeat any food lately, and
what I eat is always thrown up and Ifeel like I do not want to eat. It is worst especially in
themorning.

Midwife : That’s what we call morning sickness. It’s a common thing

That happens during the first trimester of pregnancy. So how isit now? Do you still have
morning sickness?

Patient : Yes MidwifeDede, I still have that morning sickness.

Husband patient : It is normal midwife ?

Midwife : Yes It is. It will be over after your wife have her secondtrimester.

Husband patient : Alhamdulillah, that is all is normal condition

Midwife : Alright, let me check your vital signs Mrs.Dayan I will checkyour blood pressure,
temperature and respiration rate, and your pulse

Patient : Ok
Midwife : First of all, roll your sleeve up please? I will measure your blood pressure.

Patient : Alright, like this?

Midwife : Yes, that’s right….Well your Blood pressure is120 / 80MmHg, you have normal
blood pressure. Further please putthis thermometer in your arm pit, wait for some minutes.

Patient : Alright.

Midwife : It’s 36⁰C, Now let me have your wrist please. Your pulse is 80/minutes. Now
please stand on this scale…Ok, It’s 55 kg. Ok now have seat down please.

Patient : Thank you.

Husband patient : So, how many times my wife checks her pregnancy?

Midwife : Examination in pregnancy at least 4 times during pregnancy.1 time at gestation

age before 3 months. 1 times 4 to 6 months’gestation. And 2 times at 7 to 9 months’
gestation.

Husband patient : Oh yeah, What to avoid of my wife during pregnancy?

Midwife : During pregnancy the mother should not work hard, smokeor exposure to cigarette
smoke, drinking alcohol and drinkingherbs, taking drugs without a doctor’s prescription,
excessivestress

Husband and patient : OK midwife Dede ( nod theire head )

Midwife : If your wife has any of the following signs occur, should betaken immediately to
the hospital or health centre, like arefeels ill, swelling of fingers, face and legs, vaginal
bleeding,convulsions, severe headaches with blurred vision, fever andtoo weak to get out of
bed, severe abdominal pain and fast ordifficult breathing.

Husband patient : Well, thank you midwife

Midwife : You are welcome. I hope mrs. Dayan is always good duringyour pregnancy
