Classroom Management:
Is there anybody absent today?
None Ma’am.
Wow! Very good, give yourself an
excellent clap.
Motivation:
Before we proceed to our topic, I
have here an activity wherein you
need to fill in each blank with
appropriate word from the box. You
need to choose the correct answer.
Discussion:
Class, our topic today is about the
voiced and voiceless “th” sounds.
When we say voiced “th”, it means
that the vocal cords vibrate to make
the sound. When you are
pronouncing the voiced “th”, it
sounds like letter d. For example,
mother, these, those, father, feather
etc. Yes ma’am.
Do you understand?
Application:
So it seems like you understand our
topic, let’s now proceed to our
activity. I have here a lot of words
wherein you need to pick one from
the box. For every correct
pronunciation, you need to keep it Yes ma’am.
and it serves as your scores. Do you
understand?
Generalization:
I can see and feel that you guys
really listened to our discussion and
I believe you’ve learned a lot today. (Students answered)
Now, what is the difference of voiced
and voiceless “th” sounds again?
