 Eligibility Criteria : - -
Participants should be residents of Karnataka. PIO/OCI card holders are not eligible.
Players who have played any FIDE rated chess tournaments are also eligible to participate.
FIDE Id’s will be generated for all participants by the last day of the event

Top Four players will be representing Karnataka in the

National Chess Championship - 2022

Classical time control 90min - 30sec.

System of play : the tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws and Swiss System open 8 Rounds.
Protests : protests if any against the decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be made in writing with a protest fee
Rs. 1000/- within 10 minutes of the occurrence of the incident to the appeals Committee the Protest fee will be
refunded if the appeal is upheld.
Withdrawals : A player withdraw at any stage of the event after informing Chief Arbiter in writing.
Appeals Committee five members appeals committee shall be formed. Members of the committee can vote on
dispute in which a player from himself is involved and in such cases, the reserves can take his place in the committee.
The organisers have the right to reject any entry without assigning any reason there of no requests towards waiver of
entry fee will be entertained.
Spot entries are not entertained to ensure round starts on time.
Personal Chess sets and Clocks are not allowed. Tie Break :
Chess sets and clocks will be provided to all. Latest Fide Rules will be applied
Car and Bike parking available.
No refund or no carry forward of entry fee.
Participants are requested to attend the Prize distribution ceremony without fail.
Participation E-Certificates can be downloaded from the chess results.
Rules and Regulations can be modified during the players meet.

AICF Registration
AICF Player Registration is compulsory. AICF Registration Fees is Rs. 250/- for the year 2022-23. As per latest
AICF regulation dated 31-July-2017, it is informed that from 01-September-2017, all AICF player registrations will
be accepted only through online. Player’s registration should be done well before the start of event.

1. Existing Registration - For existing players please go to your player page in http : aicf.in players and
click on extend membership.

2. New Player registration - http://aicf.in/online - player - registration / for fresh AICF player registration,
player’s are requested to keep their scanned passport size photograph and birth certificate and a valid
email address (unique) not used by any other person/ player for AICF player registration.

Note : Only passport size (less than MB) photographs in jpeg format should be uploaded.
