DIONYSUS: Let’s get the food out immediately. It’s all stuff you like, Apollon.

APOLLON: As expected of you, Di-Di! I love you! Okay okay, I’ll go ahead!

Smiling, Apollon jumped into the center of the room. Emitting the same dazzling energy that he did
before, Apollon began to enjoy the party. We followed soon after, and the room became lively. As if
making up for the time apart, everyone smiled, chatted, and sometimes joked with each other. Those
who had prepared a present beforehand now gave them to Apollon. The circle of classmates was finally
able to talk comfortably after a long time. We could sense our bonds with each other from just the
casual conversation. We made many fulfilling memories.

APOLLON: Hey, Fairy-san.

LOKI: It’s a symbol of our reconciliation! Ehehehe…

There was a hidden meaning behind that smile. He was probably scheming something. But I might be
wrong… I saw Apollon move toward the cake without hesitation. I needed to do something…

I had a bad feeling about this, so I called for help.

Balder came over, chewing on a thick piece of meat. He looked blissful.

Loki took a device out of his breast pocket and pressed a strange switch.

I immediately grabbed Apollon’s sleeve and pulled him to the side. In the next instant, the demonic
purple cake jumped cleanly into Balder’s face.

YUI: Ah…

APOLLON: B-Baru-Baru?! Are you okay? Are you alive?

BALDER: Mnn? What’s this? Is this the human way to eat cake? You think of interesting things.

Balder stood there with purple cream all over his face, looking calm and peaceful. He was truly a god
among gods.

CHOOSE: Trust Loki and watch

APOLLON: Let’s dig in!!

He brought the fork in his hand closer to the cake.

LOKI: Ahollon, congrats!! Have a taste of my 1HKO Celebratory Jumping Cake! ☆ Here we go, click! ♪

He took a strange-looking device out of his breast pocket, pressed the switch, and… The next instant, the
demonic purple cake jumped with a boing.

APOLLON: Whaa?! Ah! Uwah!

LOKI: No no, you have to catch it with your face! Ah, I was so close…

YUI: Loki-san! This isn’t a celebratory cake at all!

I complained at Loki while helping Apollon stand up. If I knew this was going to happen, I should have
stopped it earlier.

ZEUS: How laughable. To speak this way of them even when they have gotten in your way.

Apollon’s gaze grew even sharper.

Hades immediately moved in between them and stopped Apollon’s fist.

APOLLON: Move over, Uncle!

APOLLON: I can’t forgive this! These are my treasured friends!

HADES: I understand how you feel. However, restrain yourself. Nothing will be solved with fists.

APOLLON: Gh…

When he saw Apollon so shaken up, Zeus looked a little taken aback.
ZEUS: Apollon. You dare oppose me…

APOLLON: Shut up! Don’t say anything more… Don’t make me angry.

He interrupted before hearing everything Zeus had to say. His eyes gleamed with a strong light.

ZEUS: …For now, meet the standards for graduation. If not, this will have been a wasted effort.

His usual smile had returned. Everyone looked relieved when they saw him.

APOLLON: You got all this ready for me. I’ll never, ever forget the joy I felt today.

Though he was forcing himself, he still showed us concern. Because we knew that, we needed to
support him. With this odd conclusion, the party we planned to Apollon came to a close. Though it had
been interrupted halfway, we achieved our original goal.

However, there was still unease in my heart. It was about Apollon’s anger. Wasn’t there something
between Zeus and Apollon, apart from insulting friends? I wonder what he thought when Zeus
appeared… Because I was worried about that, I couldn’t be fully happy about Apollon’s return.

NEW CHAPTER: Apollon Chapter 4 (Fate Ending) – “Memories of Delos”

BACKGROUND: SKY
A night in the height of summer… a few hours after the surprise party ended, I was spending time in my
room.

BACKGROUND: YUI’S ROOM

Apollon’s expression rose to the back of my mind. He had acted normally, but his smile looked so
lifeless. It was like a smile to make everyone feel better.

Also, I was curious about his relationship with Zeus.

YUI: Is he really okay…?

There were things he’d gained from that party, but on the other hand, there were things he’d lost… I
wondered if it had left a mark on Apollon’s heart, after his argument with Zeus.

YUI: …Maybe I should go check up on him.

I was really worried about him. What if he was depressed or worrying all by himself? That was all I could
think about. I didn’t want that to happen, so I decided to go find him.

BACKGROUND: DORM HALLWAY

YUI: Sorry it’s so late.

I opened the door to the Greek gods’ room and walked inside.

BACKGROUND: COMMON ROOM

DIONYSUS: …Ah. Just when I was wondering who it was.

Dionysus and Hades were right there chatting as I came in.

DIONYSUS: What’s wrong? Business with me…? Like, maybe you forgot to confess your undying love to
me at the party?

YUI: U-Undying love…?! No way!

YUI: I was just worried about Apollon-san.

DIONYSUS: No need to be so frantic about it. You’re gonna hurt this old man, you know?

HADES: You’re getting ahead of yourself, Dionysus. …We were just talking about Apollon. Including what
Zeus said.

Dionysus and Hades exchanged a meaningful glance.

DIONYSUS: This is just my interpretation, but I think Zeus is afraid of Apollon.

YUI: I just couldn’t leave it alone.

present.

HADES: It goes back to the time of Kronos, the father of Zeus and me…

HADES: Following his mother Gaia’s orders, Kronos stole the throne from the cruel god Uranus. At that
time, he heard a prophecy.

YUI: …No one’s… here?

When we all came into the room, Zeus wasn’t inside.

YUI: Maybe he’s out right now. That’s rare…

He was almost never outside of this room.

HADES: Let’s split up and seek him out. It would be better to end this quickly.

YUI: Right. Let’s do that.

We split up and began to look for Zeus.

BACKGROUND: STUDENT COUNCIL ROOM

YUI: He’s not… in the student council room.

I ran without stopping.

As I was heading for the headmaster’s office, I ran into Apollon.

APOLLON: I couldn’t find Zeus anywhere, so I thought I’d come back to the starting point.

YUI: Same here. I looked everywhere, but I couldn’t find him.

I ran down the hallway with Apollon. I still felt really conscious of the fact that we were alone. I couldn’t
calm down. However, he didn’t seemed concerned about it at all.

I need to put my emotions aside for now and do what I can for him. To help him graduate, and maybe
help the relationship between Zeus and him develop.

We finally reached the headmaster’s office.

…This time, the door was open.

YUI: Maybe he’s back.

APOLLON: Let’s go in. …Zeus, are you there?

ZEUS: Apollon…!

ZEUS: It is rare for you show your face here.

APOLLON: I can decide for myself when I want to come.

There was nervousness between them, as if they were testing each other. The air was charged with
tension. Are they really father and son? The tense air prickled my skin, and I felt like I would falter any
second.

ZEUS: Good timing. I have to speak to you about something.

APOLLON: So we agree for once. I came here to talk to you about something, too. …Shall we start with
you?

Apollon walked all the way up to Zeus so he could be heard. It was then…

situation, I thought of what I should do…

I just couldn’t accept it.

ZEUS: Do not talk back to me. If you are not silent, you will meet the same fate.

Seeing Zeus’s sharp gaze, I lost my breath.

YUI: Apollon-san, let’s get out of here! It’s dangerous!

APOLLON: Yeah, that’s probably good. You’re in danger here too.

Apollon pulled me toward him, and we ran together toward the door. Even at a time like this, he
thought of other people. I was glad for his kindness. Apollon reached out a hand for the door… And
then. A bolt of lightning came down before our eyes and stopped his hand.

I needed to stop Zeus somewhere, so I ran up to him.

YUI: Please stop, Zeus-san! Don’t harm Apollon-san!

I tried to grab his arm to stop him, but before I could reach, he hit me in the head.

YUI: Ahh!

APOLLON: Stop it! Don’t touch her! …Are you okay, Fairy-san?
Apollon came to my rescue and held out a hand to help me up. Then, lightning appeared above us once
more.

Apollon was in danger. I desperately thought of a way out of this. Should I stay here, or go get someone
to help? These were the only things I could do to stop Zeus. The path should choose is…

NEW CHAPTER: Apollon Fate Ending 2 - “Fantasia of Light and Darkness”

I’ll call for help. We couldn’t stand against Zeus by ourselves, so I decided to go find someone else. The
sound of thunder reverberated throughout the room, over and over. I saw an opening and slipped
through the exit.

APOLLON: Fairy-san?! Why…!

ZEUS: She has come to her senses.

As I ran out down the hallway, Apollon looked surprised, and Zeus amazed.

BACKGROUND: HALLWAY

Apollon’s words wouldn’t leave my head. I hurt him because he thought I’d run away. In order to clear
up that misunderstanding, I had to find someone and get back quickly. So I yelled as loud as I could.

YUI: Someone! Please help!!

YUI: Please, someone…!

I ran down the hallway, yelling. At the very least, Hades and Dionysus were in the school. If my voice
could reach one of them, they should be able to lend a hand in saving Apollon.

???: …What’s wrong?

When I turned in the direction of the voice, I saw Hades walking down the stairs.

YUI: P-Please help! Apollon-san is in danger!

YUI: Zeus-san suddenly attacked him…!

HADES: What? Where are they? Let’s go, now!

YUI: Over here!

With Hades in tow, I hurried back to the headmaster’s office.

BACKGROUND: THRONE ROOM

HADES: Zeus, what are you doing?!

Hades raised his voice as we entered the room.

APOLLON: Uncle Hades…!

Apollon looked away from Zeus for a moment. In that instant, lightning came down.

APOLLON: …!

HADES: Look out!!

Hades ran up, and he pushed Apollon out of the way. And then…

HADES: Gah!!

Hades screamed as he was struck by lightning.

YUI: H-Hades-san!

APOLLON: Uncle, are you alright?!

HADES: Yeah, it doesn’t hurt that much. Not compared to living in darkness and solitude.

Hades had burns on his arm. His skin was charred from the lightning.
HADES: What did you do to Apollon? Stop this idiotic behavior!

ZEUS: This has nothing to do with you. Do not interfere.

HADES: You fool! Toying with everything at your own convenience… You are still the same child that you
were long ago.

HADES: I have the right to know.

ZEUS: …

Zeus closed his mouth at Hades’s words. Zeus, who had showed everyone nothing but absolute
authority.

HADES: Apollon is our chosen student council president. I will not allow you to harm him.

ZEUS: You decided that on your own. I have not recognized him as the president.

HADES: A student representative is chosen by students. We weren’t looking for your permission.

ZEUS: Insolence…

Zeus glared at Hades, irritated at his interruption.

ZEUS: Will you not move away from Apollon…?! You will get involved in this.

HADES: Let me know the situation first. I can hit you afterward.

ZEUS: Be silent! I have nothing to say to you! Step back, Hades!

In contrast to Zeus’s rising anger, Hades remained calm.

HADES: …What are you afraid of?

ZEUS: Afraid… you say?

Zeus’s faces contorted at Hades’s words.

HADES: Yesterday you scolded Apollon, but today you suddenly attempted to harm him…

HADES: What happened, Zeus? What is your reason for attacking Apollon? He is your son.

Rather than blaming Zeus, Hades seemed to be gently chiding him with that question. He seemed to be
drawing out the answer instead.

ZEUS: …Because he is my son.

Zeus spoke in a grievous whisper.

ZEUS: I cannot allow my talentless son to have a bad influence on the other students.

ZEUS: I will erase Apollon’s memories and send him back to his own world.

ZEUS: It will be as if his experiences in the Garden never happened.

APOLLON: W-Why…?! Why would you do something like that?

APOLLON: I don’t want to lose all the memories I have here. All the memories with everyone.

ZEUS: Apollon… In the near future, you will bring misfortune unto humans, and yourself fall into the
depths of despair.

ZEUS: I have called you here to study in order to avoid that future.

ZEUS: However, it did not go as I had hoped… You limiter shows no change in your fate. There is no
choice but to give up.

We’d tried all sorts of things, but Apollon’s limiter showed no sign of breaking. In this situation, I can
understand why Apollon’s thank-you party would have looked like a foolish ruckus to Zeus. Considering
the results without looking at the process, there was nothing strange about Zeus’s decision.

APOLLON: B-But…! Why erase my memories?

ZEUS: There is no need for experience without results. Besides, the experiences you have had here
might have put an even darker shadow on your fate.

ZEUS: I have chosen a more certain fate, so as to avoid an even more cruel outcome.

APOLLON: I can’t… I don’t understand…

ZEUS: If you have understood, then step aside, Hades. I will erase this despair that exceeds despair.

HADES: You are no different from Kronos.

ZEUS: Nonsense! Do not compare me to our father. I am different. I have overcome the prophecy!

HADES: Kronos could not trust his children, so he swallowed them. How are your actions now any
different?

HADES: They look the same to me. I only see a man who does things at his own convenience, unable to
trust his own son.

ZEUS: Idiocy… Me, the same as him…?

HADES: Change fate, Zeus. Your place as ruler may not have been taken, but you still drive your own
children to misfortune.

ZEUS: Then, what do you suppose I do…? Is there another best method?

As the one who created and is ruling this school, he must have been secretly worrying. And not only
that, he was desperate to run away from the cruel cycle of fate.

The power of a prophecy, hard to defy even for a god. It was something I couldn’t even imagine.

HADES: Change your actions now… the behavior that is sending your child into misfortune.

APOLLON: However… I’m fine.

ZEUS: Though a terrible future awaits you? It should not be fine.

APOLLON: I know the power of prophecies very well… But this is the path I chose. I can accept any
outcome that comes my way.

APOLLON: Because of my memories here, I don’t care if I’m greeted with even greater misfortune.

APOLLON: That’s how important my experiences here are to me.

ZEUS: You say you can accept this…? The cruel path before you?

APOLLON: The most important thing is to change myself to change the future. It’s not that outrageous of
an idea.

APOLLON: Look at the present, and change the future. Within sensible limits… struggle with my own
strength.

APOLLON: That is what we can do. I learned that here at this school.

YUI: Apollon-san…

As I watched Apollon exchange words with Zeus, he looked stronger, more resolute than ever before.
He’d probably matured through his life in the Garden. He had grasped the essence of humanity.

Suddenly, I heard a strange sound.

YUI: W-What…?

HADES: Apollon, look at your hand.

APOLLON: Huh…?

When he looked down, on his right hand… the ring, his limiter, had disappeared.

YUI: There’s no… limiter?

APOLLON: What does this… mean?

Apollon himself didn’t understand, and a look of confusion rose to his face.

ZEUS: Could it be…

ZEUS: Having accepted your fate, hoping for a change… that has made your limiter acknowledge your
graduation?

YUI: Acknowledge his graduation?

YUI: Then, Apollon-san is…

ZEUS: He has gained the right to leave the miniature garden.

APOLLON: I can graduate…? Finally! Just like everyone else!

ZEUS: To think this would happen…

HADES: You seem down. Why are you not happy?

ZEUS: I am simply surprised… to think I was saved by my own students.

ZEUS: I had disdained you for your youth. You have learned and matured more than I thought.

ZEUS: Hades… if you had not come, this may not have happened.

APOLLON: I was able to change thanks to you, Uncle! Thank you so much for watching over me.

HADES: You’ve learned and discovered this by yourself. I haven’t done a single thing.

HADES: Well, think what you want… I take no responsibility if you misunderstand.

Contrary to his words, Hades had a gentle expression on his face.

APOLLON: Fairy-san, Father… everyone, thank you!

APOLLON: I’m a sun god brightened and blessed by everyone around me.

The final problem left at this school, Apollon’s graduation, had been solved… We held our graduation
ceremony a few days later. It was the same stage we used for the entrance ceremony, but this time, all
of our classmates were there.

It’s been about one year since I came here… so many things had happened. But today would be the end.
Once we safely got our diplomas, we were to be sent to our own worlds.

ZEUS: When I look back on the lives I have given you here during this one year period, I can see that you
have all matured.

ZEUS: I am grateful for your efforts, for they have changed the future. From now on, I wish for you all to
devote yourselves to the world.

ZEUS: …That is all I need to say to you.

ZEUS: Good work, everyone.

ZEUS: I pray that your paths are filled with joy and happiness.

The entire student body applauded after Zeus’s speech. It was truly a loud sound, encompassing
everyone’s memories of the past year. These were the friends I’d spent my school life with together,
after being thrown into a new world, alone. Everyone’s faces were fearless, completely different from
their expressions at the entrance ceremony.

What are humans? What is love? I didn’t think I’d conveyed it very well. I regretted that I was a useless
example, but seeing their faces, I was honestly glad that it turned out this way. The things I had done
hadn’t gone to waste. When I thought about this, the corners of my eyes grew hot with tears.

When the applause gradually died down, Thoth, our facilitator, announced the next speaker.

THOTH: Now, a word from the student representative.

THOTH: Apollon Agana Belea, please come forward.

APOLLON: Yes.

His loud voice echoed throughout the gym. I loved even his voice.

My heart beat faster as I saw him brimming with confidence. Once this graduation ceremony is over, I
might never see him again. The only thing ahead of us was one final goodbye. I’d already made up my
mind, but I found myself faltering when I saw him in front of me.

Maybe I should have talked it over with him. I wonder what he’d think. Would he be angry? Various
emotions rose up in my chest and disappeared. Apollon stood up from his seat, went up to the podium,
and faced Zeus.

APOLLON: As I thought about the fact that today would be the last time I would see this school’s familiar
scenery, each step I took toward school was firm.

APOLLON: The reason every student was able to graduate on this joyous day, is because of the bonds
they have formed here. We have all spent our normal, everyday lives here supported by someone else.

APOLLON: I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone. Thank you… I’m truly grateful.

Apollon looked over at me. Then, he smiled brightly.

APOLLON: After graduating from this school, I will push on toward my future with all the things I’ve
learned here. I vow to tirelessly continue to challenge myself.

APOLLON: Thank you for everything.

With those words, Apollon bowed his head to Zeus. The students behind him all bowed as well. Apollon
turned around and returned to his seat. Zeus watched him retreat, eyes full of emotion. I was just as
proud as if it were me up there. Apollon had pulled everyone along and led them here to graduation.
And he even overcame his own pain and trauma. Everyone had begun to clap right after he was finished,
conveying our feelings to him.

After that, Thoth announced the closing of the ceremony, and the curtains closed on our first and last
graduation ceremony.
At the same time, the students who had been prepared for this school vanished into mist. Their roles
were now over.

TSUKITO: It ended safely… everything disappeared without a trace, just like in the beginning. They will
only remain in our memories.

BALDER: Yeah. I don’t want it to end. But I feel a strange, refreshed feeling somewhere.

LOKI: What’s thiiis, are you crying, Ta-tan? Look, here. There’s tears on your cheek!

TAKERU: Hah? N-No way… Wait, there’s nothing on my face! You liar!

Lured in by Loki, Takeru wiped his cheeks. His eyes were a little red. Thor saw this and placed a hand on
Takeru’s head. Thor’s expression was gentle as he silently pet the shorter god’s head. Takeru was facing
away, his shoulders shaking.

DIONYSUS: I wonder if I got more humanlike. Ahh, it doesn’t look like I can be a god again, so maybe I

APOLLON: Di-Di smelled like a human from the beginning!

Everyone laughed loudly at Apollon’s comment. I wanted to enjoy our very last moments, and it seemed
everyone else was thinking the same thing. We joined shoulders and joked with each other as we
received our diplomas and left the gym.

BACKGROUND: SPORTS FIELD

Once the graduation ceremony was over, I went out to the sports field. I spent the last moments of my
time here listening to the weakening cries of the cicadas.

APOLLON: I’ve been looking for you, Fairy-san. I wanted to say goodbye to you.

YUI: Ah, sorry I came to a weird place all by myself.

YUI: I don’t really want to leave…

APOLLON: I feel the same. If I could, I would want to stay here forever.

APOLLON: I’ve never really been concerned about time before… I’ve really changed.

APOLLON: Making an effort for someone else, sharing joy and sadness together… I understand those
wonderful things now.

I felt happy at Apollon’s growth, but also kind of lonely. It felt like I was once again aware that he might
forget all about me, a human.

APOLLON: I need to connect everything I’ve gained to the future. You’ve been running around teaching
me all these things, after all.
As if punctuating that sentence, he stretched upwards as far as he could. Apollon was already advancing
toward his future.

APOLLON: …Ah, oh right. I’m going to be visiting the Underworld soon.

YUI: Underworld…? What are you going to do there?

I was a little surprised. The image I had of the Underworld didn’t match his excited expression.

APOLLON: I’m visiting Uncle there. I’ve actually never been to the Underworld, since I’ve only ever heard
it’s a scary place.

APOLLON: But after talking and hanging out with Uncle at school, I got more interested. It’s a bond I
formed here.

APOLLON: If Uncle rules the place, then I don’t need to be afraid… I want to be around him more.

YUI: You’ve gotten a lot closer, haven’t you?

APOLLON: I need to thank Father as well. I wouldn’t have had the chance if it wasn’t for this school.

APOLLON: This is a place to form connections… new ones, old ones, everything.

YUI: I think so too.

All the bonds I had were new, but as I looked at Apollon, I agreed. Father and son. Uncle and nephew.
Older and younger brothers. A place where various relationships intersected once more. That was what
this miniature garden was to us.

I heard a voice from far away. When I looked, Hades was waving at us.
