DESIGN AND PROCEDURE

The research design and procedure used by the researchers was a mixed
methodology, Quantitative and Qualitative Methods. The quantitative method through
the use of surveys and the Qualitative method through interviews to gather
information needed for the design of the company's payroll system.

Research Design

The researchers employ a mixed-methods strategy. This is due to different

methodologies can answer different issues, combining them can yield more in-depth
results. It is reasonable to utilize quantitative order in the study we are conducting
data that represents a specific quantity, amount, or range. The data is usually
accompanied by measuring units. Mixed with qualitative data type is non-numerical
in nature. This type of data is collected through methods of observations.

Traditional of Inquiry

The researchers chose a narrative case study involves both complex and
intensive analyzing the Computerized payroll system. It focuses on developmental
concerns and relationships with the environment, while also documenting real-life
situations and other events through data collecting from a variety of sources.

Observations and interviews are examples of information sources in a case

study. Leading to specifications of a new computer-based payroll system. During
analysis data are collected on the available files, decision points and transactions
handled by the present system. Interviews, on-site observations and questionnaire are
the tools used for system analysis of present system. System Analysis also includes
sub-dividing of complex process involving the entire system, identification of data
store and manual processes.

Data Generation Methods

The researchers collected data through google platform conducted with the use
of the online platform "Google Meet" along with the Payroll handle Ms. Chua to
gather the information needed in the study. We also collected data from the
employees through google form in the form of a survey questionnaire.

Respondents and Sampling Procedure

The respondent of the study is the two (2) selected employees from
Accounting Department of Overall Marketing and Services Co. in which they are
assigned and knowledgeable for the Payroll System of the company.

Sampling was used in these cases. The researcher utilized all those selected
eighteen (18) as selected random people in this research may choose to be more
knowledgeable about payroll than to find another way or hire someone who is not yet
trained to make payroll which may cause apprehension to our project.

Statistic Formula Used

All data gathered from the questionnaire was tallied and computed in order to
find out the frequency and percentage of the respondents-demographic profile.

The summation of the data gathered was also computed the following
formulas were used.

Percentage: The percentage distribution of a class is the frequency of the class

divided by the total frequency of all classes. The sum percentage distribution of all
classes is clearly 1 or 100 percent. Percentage (%) = M x (100 %) R Where: % =
percentage M = frequency R = total number of respondents.

Data Generation Procedure

This research started with a letter to the Adviser of the researchers, then,
researchers made a letter of asking an interview that should be approved by the
Admin Head. As the permission granted, the researchers made an interview with a set
of related questions in order to gather accurate information, opinions and suggestions
about the payroll.
