POINTS TO REMEMBER
1 hour = 60 minutes
1 minute = 60 seconds
1 hour = (60 x 60) second
= 3600 seconds
1 day = 24 hours
1 week= 7 days
2 weeks= fortnight
1 month= 4 weeks and 2 or 3 days
1 year = 365 ¼ days
February = 28 days Leap year- 29 days
Q.I How many minutes in-
a) 5 hours
1 hour= 60 min
Therefore, 5 hours= (5 x 60) min
= 300 min

1 day = 24 hours
Therefore, 7 days = (7 x 24) hours

Division of a Day
24 hours (1Day) are divided into two periods

Time in 24-hour clock is written in four digits.
Eg.
1) 0400 hours or 04 :00 hours
2) 1600 hours or 16:00 hours
3) 2400 hours or 12 midnight
4) 1200 hours or 12 noon
