Problem 1:
Kevin walks everyday around the court. This morning, he
started walking at 6:24 a.m. and ended at 6:57 a.m. About how
long did he walk this morning?
Who walks everyday? At what time did he start and end walking?
What is being asked in the problem? Will you compute for the
exact time that Kevin spent in walking? What will you do then?
Estimate the amount of time spent by Kevin in walking.
How will you do it? Round the times in minutes.
Study this.
Estimated Time
6:57 6:50
- 6:24 6:20 Subtract the rounded times
0:30
Therefore: Kevin walked for about 30 minutes.
Problem 2: Find the elapsed time.
Started time – 8:43 Ended Time – 9:29
Solution:
