WRITTEN REPORT

There is a breadth of related research on modular product-service development methods which focus on
the modular engineering of product, service, actors and ICT infrastructure in PSS [19]. Knowledge and
data required for the integrated solution formed by the components of a supportive platform should be
managed on a common repository, structured according to a set of modular ontologies covering all PSS
aspects. Regarding Tukker et al. [15] “Companies use formal or informal approach to the PSS
development and they also use their own tools and procedures. The companies which are active more in
product prefer to develop service in accordance with the product development”. Proposing Computer
Supported work facilities is a crucial task to improve and harmonize the current development practices.
This paper focuses on the design support system which manages the multidisciplinary engineering
process of the product oriented PSS and the related models. Respecting this multi-disciplinary essence of
PSS engineering process, the design support system should assist collaboration between four main
actors:

Distillation is a process of separating constituents from a liquid mixture.depends on the particular boiling
points of the constituents and the distributions of the components in the mixture between a liquid and a
gas phase. Depending on the liquid composition, the boiling point characteristics may change the
concentrations of the constituents present. As a result, distillation the vapor pressure properties of liquid
mixes influence the processes. The heat is used as a separating agent to generate vapor pressure. In the
he heat content of the new phases differs from the original after distillation. During For the majority of
the century, distillation was by far the most popular method forseparate liquid chemical mixtures
(Seader and Henley, 1998). This requires a lot of energy.

Several product models have been proposed and implemented in recent years. [22]. These models
should be expanded to include additional ideas required for defining the linked service. The proposed
PSS design support framework architecture is based on a central knowledge repository as a kernel
component, via which various business applications are coupled to offer users with technical help and
collaborative possibilities (Fig. 2). Domain ontologies in PSS will be established and combined to build
the entire semantic model in order to describe and implement the structure of this knowledge
repository. This is based on a concurrent process grouping top down method based on new results in the
literature study and bottom up approach incorporating the pragmatic point of view acquired from
industry practitioners.
