IOT BASED AEROPONICS

MONITORING SYSTEM
INTRODUCTION
This presentation will cover the topic of iot-based
aeroponics monitoring system. This system is designed to
monitor and control the conditions required for the growth
of plants in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The
system makes use of various sensors and actuators that
are connected to the internet of things (iot) to enable real-
time monitoring and control.
WHAT IS AEROPONICS?
Aeroponics is a method of growing plants in an
air or mist environment without the use of soil or
an aggregate medium. The plants are suspended
in a closed or semi-closed environment where the
nutrient-rich water is delivered to the roots in the
form of a fine mist. This method is known to be
more efficient than traditional soil-based
agriculture, as it uses less water and requires less
space.
WHY USE IOT IN AEROPONICS?

IoT-based aeroponics monitoring system can

provide real-time information about the
conditions required for plant growth. This
information can be used to optimize the growth
process, reduce water usage, and improve crop
yields. The system can also provide alerts and
notifications when there are any deviations from
the optimal conditions, enabling prompt action to
be taken to prevent crop loss.
SENSORS USED IN AEROPONICS
MONITORING
Various sensors are used in the aeroponics
monitoring system, such as temperature,
humidity, and light sensors. The pH and nutrient
levels of the water are also monitored using
sensors. The data collected by these sensors is
transmitted to the cloud, where it is analyzed to
provide insights into the growth process.
ACTUATORS USED IN AEROPONICS MONITORING

Actuators such as pumps, fans, and valves are

used in the aeroponics monitoring system to
control the conditions required for plant growth.
For example, the pump is used to deliver the
nutrient-rich water to the roots in the form of a fine
mist, while the fan is used to circulate the air in
the system. The valves are used to control the flow
of water and nutrients to the plants.
CONCLUSION
IoT-based aeroponics monitoring system is a cost-effective and efficient method of
growing plants. The system provides real-time information about the conditions
required for plant growth, enabling the optimization of the growth process,
reducing water usage, and improving crop yields. With the use of various sensors
and actuators, the system can be controlled remotely, making it ideal for large-
scale agriculture and urban farming.
