Dear Leslie,

User Test Feedback

Attached is a memo with the results we received from the instructions test. As expected, it
wasn’t 10 out of 10 users didn’t give the instructions a perfect score but the users they liked it
and think there is very little that needs to be changed. The biggest piece of feedback we got
from users shows that they want a better visual aid to go with the instructions. If the following
changes get implemented, I believe our reputation with our customers will improve and it will
bring in more customers as it makes the product more accessible. Again, the instructions feel
solid there’s just a little more we can do for them that will go a long way.

Attaching a Diagram
As stated above the user who tested the product had the opinion that biggest problem with our
instructions as is, is that there are no supporting images detailed enough to provide the readers
with context. The users had no problem with anything written until the last step and believed
that a visual aid would have helped him do it without any confusion.

To address this problem, I would like to attach an illustrated diagram alongside the written
instruction. This illustration would provide a depiction of each step of tying the knot on top of a
human torso, as to provide scale to the viewer and show how the finished knot should look.
This would help our product sell better as it’s easier to understand and could reach a wider
audience. Without these changes customers might be disappointed with our product and that
leaves us looking bad.
