METHODOLOGY, RESULT AND DISCUSSION

In this section, it presents the methodology that is implementing by the researcher in

conducting the study. It would explain the different methods of research used in gathering data,
research, design, procedure, and the detailed implementation of the developing concept of the system.
a. Requirements Analysis
i. Locale

Philippine Women’s University - Career Development and Continuing Education Center Tarlac Branch
is a private educational and training institution that is located at J. Luna St. Tarlac City. It is one of the
branches of PWU’s Career Development and Continuing Education Center (est.1978) established to
provide a quality instruction and training to students living outside Manila but wants to continue their
education. In the Tarlac branch, CHED-recognized programs in Hospitality Management, Information
Systems, Tourism Management, Accounting Technology, and Computer Technology are being offered.
Various twoyear technical-vocational courses are also open for admissions as well as their Caregiving
program with a National Certificate II, they also have Senior-High School programs as well.

ii. Methods of Gathering Data

Observation. The researcher use observation as a technique on observing the locale on how
they process on their organization. Observing the needs and problems of the locale and to determine the
problems being encountered, and proved that there was a real needs and problems on the locale to be
able to the researchers to work for.
Interview. The researcher conducted an interview on the IT Head and Principal of the locale to
verify the problems and needs and also the information being used in the study. Consultation The
researcher consulted some IT experts who have the knowledge about the project and regarding on the
development of the software.
Internet Surfing. The researcher gathered information using the internet related to the
proposed system. The researcher uses the internet as a tool to search for related literatures and studies
that will be used for benchmarking.
iii. System Development Methodology
iv Project Schedule
 Figure 2 shows the Gantt Chart of the schedule in the development of the system. The
researcher analyze the system uses the internet to gather some data.
The figure shows the schedule of the development of the system. On when the researcher
started it and the estimated time period that will be finish.

 Figure 12 shows the first User interface of the system consisting of name and logo of
Philippine Women’s University CDCEC Tarlac, name of the system, students and parents search form
in the left side, admin, faculty, and cashier signup, signup button, and the login button on the right side.

e. Implementation Plan
