CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION

A Computer is a device that accepts information and manipulates

it for some result based on a program, software, or sequence of

instructions on how the data is to be processed.

Not having knowledge on computer on this generation has a lot of

disadvantages especially most of the works now is done by the

computers, in today’s world for almost activity whether personal or

business-related we always rely on the computer system. Due to the

growing dependency on computers, every small and big organizations

have started computer-based services. The advancement of

communications, electronic service networks, and multimedia have

opened a new door for corporates by providing an effective way of

business processing, payment transfer and service delivery. It also

makes the data sharing more simple by linking on one computer to

another(tutorialspoint.com). Montera Computer Center sells, repair, build

computers which having knowledge to it really matters especially when it

comes to knowing the capabilities of each parts for example ram, cpu,

motherboard etc. and knowing the possible causes what are the reasons

or the problems of their computers. some customers go to the store and

didn’t know what they are talking about specially when it comes to the

computer hardware and software. This study aims to identify the

challenges of the Montera Computer Center from customers that doesn’t

have knowledge to a computer.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

The Montera Computer Center started from a computer shop,

when the android or smartphones became popular they started selling

computer parts, half of their store is computer shop and the other half is

computer parts store. Then the computer shop got bankrupted they

focused on the computer parts store and get rid of the computer shop,

And it became a computer center. The name Montera is from the

owner’s surname, Evangelyn Navarro Montera. The Montera Computer

Center is located at B-C2 Lot 26 Barangay Maderan GMA Cavite. They

also have another shop called Ted Pc, and located at the Barangay

Ramon Cruz. In Ted Pc they are only selling parts of computers on that

store, while in their main shop which is the Montera Computer Center,

they are not only selling they are also repairing, building computers,

installing operating system, etc. the owner of Montera Computer Center

also has a cafeteria next to the Computer Center Called Tess Binalot.

1. What does Montera Computer Center think of customers that

doesn’t have knowledge to a computer?

2. How does the Montera Computer Center deal with the customers

that doesn’t have knowledge to a computer?

3. How does Montera Computer Center make the customers

understand the problems on their computer?

SCOPE AND LIMITATION

This study will focus on the challenges that Montera Computer

Center facing from the customers that doesn’t have knowledge to a

computer, This study is limited to the workers of the Montera Computer

Center and will be conducted at the Montera Computer Center located at

B-C2 Lot 26 Barangay Gavino Maderan GMA Cavite.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

Customers. The customers will have a knowledge on the computer

Montera Computer Center. The Montera Computer Center will know how

to deal with the customers that doesn’t have a knowledge on a

computer.

Future Researchers. The data given can be used by the future

researchers and apply it to their future studies.

DEFINITION OF TERMS

COMPUTER- Is an electronic device that we use for work, school,

documentations etc.

RAM- Is a computer component which is used for storing data, also

called as random access memory.

CPU- this particular component calculates and interprets the

instructions when youre surfing web, playing games etc. also

known as the brain of the computer

MOTHER BOARD- Is the component that hold all the parts together

such as the ram and cpu.

SOFTWARE- is the programs or operating systems that the user

navigate for example windows 10.
