The New NCOV

According to Google, there are over 43,103 Globally Infected by the
disease. The 2019 Novel Coronavirus, or 2019-nCoV, is a new respiratory
virus first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China.  Public health
officials and partners are working hard to identify the source of the
2019-nCoV. Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses, some causing
illness in people and others that circulate among animals, including
camels, cats and bats. Analysis of the genetic tree of this virus is
ongoing to know the specific source of the virus. SARS, another
coronavirus that emerged to infect people, came from civet cats, while
MERS, another coronavirus that emerged to infect people, came from
camels.
An advanced team is currently in Beijing to prepare an international
mission and to determine the questions the international team will want
to learn more about: from characteristics of the virus to public health
response China put in place to try to contain the virus. The group of
international experts, with a range of specializations, will work with
Chinese counterparts on increasing understanding of the outbreak to
guide global response efforts. Since being notified of the outbreak on 31
December, the WHO Country Office in China, supported by the regional
and international offices, has worked to support China, and indeed the
world, to scale up the response. A small mission was sent to Wuhan mid-
January, and the Director-General visited in January.
Following WHO best practices for naming of new human infectious
diseases, which were developed in consultation and collaboration with
the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) and the Food and
Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), WHO has named
the disease COVID-19, short for “coronavirus disease 2019.”

Living in Manila is very different compared to the province life

In Manila you cannot see places that will calm your mind. In the
street you’ll see how people are busy with their own lives like they don’t
have time to waste. Everywhere is crowded, in bus, trains, roads and
buildings.
In the province you’ll see green colors of mountains and trees, and
the blue colors of the sea which is very refreshing in the eyes. It will
make you forget the time.
And because everywhere is crowded in Manila, you hear a lot of
noises. Busy people talking on the street, the vendors selling their items,
the vehicles, and let’s not forget the traffic.
In the province you’ll hear the birds chirping, the sound of the waves
if you are living near the sea and the fresh air. The time is not in a hurry
for you to meet deadlines.
Narrative Essay

My summer vacation last year of 2017 was one of the unforgettable

experiences I had.
I spent it with my family in Coron, Palawan. It was extra special since
my mom just arrived abroad after two years.
We climbed mount Tapyas. They said it has 700+ steps. It was tiring
reaching the top, but the view was breathtaking. Everybody was sitting
facing the sunset and silently relaxing.
After climbing a mountain, we went to Maquinit hotspring. The
water was too hot I cannot stay for a long time. My mom told me it was
relaxing.
The next day we spent swimming. We did snorkeling, it was so
amazing. Seeing the coral reefs and different fishes was very exciting
experience. The water was very clear and colored green. We also feed
the fish underwater. After swimming, we went home and visited a park
overseeing the sunset. It was time for us to relax and enjoy the view.
I will never forget my Coron experience. If given the chance, I wish I
can revisit it again.
