Tracking - Keeping a
Good Shape in Senior
High School
I. Introduction

Google Fit:Activity Tracking is the way to keep in


good shape in Senior High School. To stay in good shape
means to be active everyday. It is an activity that we
perform on a repetitive basis for relaxing our body and
taking away all the mental illness. Exercising is most
essential for proper health and fitness. Moreover, it is
essential for every sphere of life.

As mobile phones and online devices have become


more popular among all individuals, particularly
students, Google Fit: Activity Tracking is an
advantageous option for them to create workout plans,
training sessions, and other content in various digital
formats that allows them to exercise as they see fit.

Aside from numerous physical health benefits,


student enganging frequently in physical activities and
exercise that can improve their mood and even mental
health, but it’s hard to know how much or what kind of
activity you need to stay healthy. That’s why Google Fit
collaborated with the World Health Development
(WHO) to bring an activity goal that can help improve
your health. WHO recommended amount of physical
activity shown to improve sleep, manage time to exercise
and increase overall mental well being.

This concept further helps the student set fitness


goals, track their progress toward those goals, stay
motivated and more.
II. The Need

Google Fit actively contributes to the evolution of


physical activity tracking with over five million
downloads in 6 months since its release. Furthermore, it
has a lot of benefits in today’s world. First of all, it will
help the student’s improve their memory and brain
function. Moreover, it also helps in keeping body shape.

Thus, according to Brown, Shelby (2019), at


Google Fit, we understand that maintaining a healthy
lifestyle is more than just tracking what you do on the go.
It's also about resting up and powering down.

The use of innovative apps can be an affective


strategy to promote regular activity (Cummilsky, 2011).
Currently, over 75 percent of student are mobile internet
users (Via Smartphone,tablets etc) which is an indication
of their interest in technology (Pew research center
2012). Furthermore, Google Fit:Activity tracking app can
be use as available technology to self monitor quantity of
exercise needed for a minimal health standard and/or
optional functioning.

Fitness apps serve as a major component of the of


the health apps for smart phone in addition to tracking
and recording users health and fitness activities ,this apps
can provide users with tailored and detailed exercise
instruction. With the help of fitness app,users might find
it easy to maintain motivation to achieve their fitness
goal (Mary Grace, 2015).
III. Background

Google Fit provides a single set of APIs for apps


and device manufacturers to store and access activity
data from fitness apps and sensors on Android and other
devices (like wearables, heart rate monitors or connected
scales). This means that with the user’s permission, you
can get access to the user’s fitness history -- enabling you
to provide more interesting features in your app like
personalized coaching, better insights, fitness
recommendations and more. (Ghosh & Angana, 2014).
It is important for student to prioritize their health
first by balancing their life, manage their time for
nutrition and exercise. As the adaptation of health and
Fitness application significantly increased during
pandemic,and since then the mobile fitness industry is
blooming with more business and health care
organization.(Dileep Gupta, 2020) Investing the Google
fit: activity tracking app among Senior High School
students can help them manage their time for exercise as
will as their other activities,it can be a key component of
their healthy lifestyle and possible for them to maintain
fit.
IV. Project Description

Goal: Promote and adopt Google fit: Activity


tracking for Senior high school student in order to
exercise daily.

Objective: This project seek to achieve keeping a good


shape in senior high using the Google fit:Activity
tracking app by focusing on the specific objective.

1. To determine the advantages of Google fit: Activity


tracking app by managing the student’s time for daily
exercise.
2. To access and Influence Senior high school student to
use Google fit:Activity tracking app.
3. To offer Student to use Google fit: activity tracking
app to track their daily activities.
