Activity 3: CHANGES IN MY COMMUNITY

1. Briefly describe the community where you presently live.

2. Enumerate five (5) changes that you observed in your community for the last five
(5) years.
Description of my own community
The neighborhood in which I currently reside is labeled as rural. It offers a
pleasant atmosphere with plenty of trees, however the road is in poor condition.
The majority of the people who used to live in our neighborhood are from the
same clan, making the majority of the community members related. The majority
of us are Catholics, but a few of us are also born again Christians. Arguments can
be heard from every direction, but during the downfall, they all come together.
Due to community constraints, I was only able to observe a few of our
community's genuine situations, but I believe it is still a happy place.

Changes in my community

1. In my community, the most visible change is change in society. The population

is one of them. There are fresh faces in our establishment, showing that the
population has grown.

2. Another societal shift had an impact on the environment. Due to increased

demand, natural resources are depleting as a result of population growth. Water
scarcity, fewer trees, and less crops to harvest.

3. Modernization was aided by social developments. Infrastructure is growing as a

result of city or barangay development.

4. Because of the new normal, there have been changes in people's lifestyles.
Face masks and shields are now a regular component of our outdoor activities.

5. Cultural diffusion has extended throughout the country, not just inside a community.
When K-POP music was introduced to us, Filipino millennials began to incorporate
components from Korea, as well as some Japanese characteristics due to anime.

Activity 4: THE NEW NORMAL AND BEYOND

As a learner, what are you going to do as a response to this social change of the
so-called “new normal”? Enumerate and briefly explain your answer. Give three (3)
answers.
1. Adaptation is the most correct response to the present new normal. We must
abide by the rules set forth by the government.

2. Fitting in with others is a big part of this adaptability. Vaccinations are

currently being rolled out across the country. Not only do we need to get
vaccinated to fit in with the community, but we also need to be vaccinated to
survive.

3. To complete the process of coping with change, we must think about the
steps we must take to recover. This may entail staying physically fit, adhering
to safety precautions, and obtaining the materials needed for online learning.
